Joel Klatt was on the Ticket yesterday talking about the upcoming season and he said that it just didn't feel right with everything that is going on right now (Afghanistan). You know it's bad if these sports guys are talking about it and know that it is a disaster. I do think Biden is done at this point. It goes far deeper than people who normally pay attention to politics. Libs can spin it all they want, but normal Americans know what it going on and they don't like it.

No US servicemen deaths in the past 18 months. From 2001 until this week, there were just under 2,500 American casualties in Afghanistan (contractors included).

There will likely be 4x that number of Americans abandoned in Afghanistan and we all know the likely outcome

It's amazingly confusing on purpose. I watched Blinken's PC yesterday and in that he shared we have evacuated 4,500 Americans. There were 500 more wanting to get out and another 1,000 they had not heard from.

So, 6,000 total according to Blinken as of yesterday.

The State Dept is telling people to not come to the airport.

Taliban is not allowing people to get to the airport.

*Rumors* they've already welded the gates closed.

Bombs Are going off at the gates.

Whatever acid trip dream our government had that troops would be allowed to peacefully board planes and leave is not going to be the reality for our troops. Once about 1/2 are gone, and there are planes on the tarmac with troops boarding is when the final assault should occur.

State Dept has no idea of how many Americans are there. Meanwhile Kamala and the press is stating he's doing a good job.

Yeah, I'm worried about that too. One runway. A couple holes and we are stranded.

Went to the grocery store in my little burg yesterday. Noticed that people were pretty subdued. On my way home I thought about the mood of the country after 9/11 and how much it felt the same.

1. Taliban/IS are pretty good at IED's. Sure there will be about 2349587239587 IED's on the road to Pakistan.
2. There are 5k troops on the ground. And I don't see there being that many vehicles left at the airport. So guess they are doing a 150 mile road march to Pakistan through hostile fire, and guerilla warfare.

That's why it's a nightmare scenario, they would have to shuttle convoys in waves. IED hell back and forth. But if they crater the runway then no airframe is coming in and any sort of indirect fire is going to keep helos out. There literally isn't another option in that case
