What happens when ALL "private business" requires masks and the upcoming vax passport?

Yeah. This will never happen.

Wishful think all you want. It can and will happen. It's already happening in other "western" countries. It's time to realize that everything happening is part of a preplanned script. Saying "oh it will never happen here" is a coping mechanism which won't protect you
If it ever does, it will not be my problem anymore because I will be gone.

Ah the old boomer argument. (Not saying you're a boomer, I'm pretty sure you are not).
Hey, if I go down shooting I've done my part. It up to the rest of you then. I'm GenX.

Vax passports will be In america within the next 2 years. They're rolling them out in europe and australia first because "private business" have less legal rights. But you'll see them in America very soon (unless you go down shooting)
What would that look like in America? But I reserve the right to go out shooting.

Basically it'll be like a year ago when you had to wear a mask to enter a business. Instead of a mask, it will be a QR code linked to your smartphone which will confirm your vax compliance. It might also be one of those face scanners which "check your temperature"
And those businesses will have made the choice to require the passports, not the government? If so, I'll be fine. I did not wear a mask last year.

So is the solution many of you want is for the government to ban stores from requiring masks?

It's not illegal for you to go in without one on. Their sign means nothing. They can ask you to leave and then if you do not then you might be guilty of trespassing.

I'm a big fan of non-compliance this time around. Hope others will follow this advice.

I've never open carried in my life but I'm thinking about doing so without a mask in every store I can just to further inflame the liberal useful idiot Karenistas.

Starting to really despise most humans.

Yes. You have a very basic outlook on what's happening which boils down to- "yes private businesses can oppress me, but at least it's not the government". Obviously, at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter who is stopping you from buying food (whether it be a private business or monopoly or the government).

I do not believe ALL of the businesses that sell food where I live will require vaccine passports short of a government mandate. I live in a VERY conservative place. I have not even seen a face mask in over 3 months. There is no chance the even the majority of the local businesses were I live will require vaccine passports of their own volition.

Perhaps where you live most if not all will. I would move if that happened.

My favorite part from the Rona craziness was: "sir, do you need a mask?"

Without breaking stride but with as huge smile "no ma'am. Thank you." I only had two people push further. The rest didn't care or were too thrown off to respond.

In america, it may be a forced lockdown like we already saw last year. More likely, it will be government locking down "private business" which don't play ball. That's the key. If the government mandates private business closures like we saw in California, that would be a serious problem.

The second thing is one of the corner stones of capitalism and American democracy. Of course I am obsessed. The real problem is that according to liberals private businesses cannot actually do whatever they want.

A private business should be able to require virtually anything of its employees and customers and those same employees and customers are free to take their business elsewhere if they do not like it.

Sure. But a "private business" has been govt controlled since the civil rights laws in 60s so idk why you are calling it a "cornerstone of democracy" (whatever that means)

The manager probably can't do anything about the policy either. The owner can. Being a dick to the person in the store is not useful.

What a bad ass. I'm sure the person getting paid $15 an hours has all the ability in the world to change store policy!

If you think I'm too timid to say that to a manager or an owner, you obviously don't know me.

The manager probably can't do anything about the policy either. The owner can. Being a dick to the person in the store is not useful.

That's not entirely accurate. Many business started instructing employees to recommend masks instead of confrontation. This essentially allowed no masks in stores.

Without the possibility of confrontation the policy never would have changed.

Welp, time to dust off my response from six month ago, if an employee demands I put on a mask (if they ask, that means I have a choice):

"What's more important: My money or my mask?"

That's why I said I will give them the option of choosing my mask or my money. I don't give two ****s about which employee confronts me, their policy, or how much they make and hour. They have the choice to allow me to not wear a mask, or they can watch me and my money walk out the door. It's not a hard decision, but it is completely their own.

No one but you said anything about me being a dick. I think you need to move on.

Yeah, you're completely wrong on this and the past year shows it.

"my mask or my money" to the store employee who can't change the policy = being a dick

Not screwing with anyone. Your position is silly. If you want to protest masks, which am 100% fine with, call the GM or the owner. They control the policy. They take the hit.

I don't give a **** who controls the goddamed policy, and I really don't give a **** what you think about my position! I can leave these stores just as easy.

Keep at it troll. I'll keep flagging your bull*****

And the employees choose to enforce that policy. If they stop or if they complain about enforcing the policy, the owner will probably just change the policy which is exactly what happened.

Lol. Not a troll. Just sharing an unpopular opinion about how to treat people, I guess.
