Study in Singapore just came out and apparently 75% of those testing positive now have been vaccinated.

Singapore also has a 75% vaccination rate which I don't think is just a coincidence. The higher the vaccination rate of a country, the higher the percentage of those vaccinated as a percentage of those testing positive will be.

The key point of the study you cited is that none of the seven people hospitalized were vaccinated.

My guess is that even with the vaccine, you can not only catch the virus but develop antibodies from that as well.
There's no need to guess, you can catch the virus even with the vaccine. That's been clearly stated from the start.

I have coronavirus antibodies.

Please don't make me violate HIPAA rules and disclose which ones.

There is no HIPAA rule against releasing your own medical records.

I haven't been checked for antibodies, but for some reason, metal objects high in iron are sticking to me now. Should I be concerned?

As mentioned most COVID antibody tests are not testing for the spike protein antibody that the mRNA vaccines produce. Therefore your routine antibody test will likely not reflect vaccine status unless you specifically look for that antibody.

I donate regularly and have always been negative for COVID antibodies. I had Moderna way back in late 2020 and finished it before 2/2021.

Haven't been tested for antibodies since vaxxed.
same

That said, I will be giving blood on Saturday, and I believe the Red Cross tests for antibodies. This will be my first donation since my shots, if I remember correctly

Check before you donate. My local Red Cross is no longer testing for antibodies as of June 25.

Have you gone in to get tested for the antibodies later? Just wondering if everyone vaccinated assumes they have the antibodies or they've gone back in to confirm.

It would be nice if you would summarize the responses. Might be informative.

Are you kidding? Becoming Magneto would be a reason to go out and get more of the shot. As many needed

This is correct. Most blood center antibody tests were designed to find the antibodies that responded to active infection and not the spike protein.

Also- most blood centers have ceased testing for antibodies as it is an expensive test when you are talking about just general blanket testing of all donors... some months it is $75k+ for the test depending on donor volume.. the test is also not a required test for blood safety in transfusion, so it is not a reimbursed cost and in essence was an un budgeted deficit each month for not for profit blood centers that usually operate on budgeted margins of 1-2%.

All that and more- please continue to give and if possible give to your community blood center that provides to hospitals in your community. (Don't just assume the ARC is your local provider because they have blood drives, most places have a smaller regional blood bank that supply them)

You can find them here : www.amerciasblood.org.

Yes. I've been tested for antiodies, and they do show. The bigger question is, did I actually get covid before, and I just never showed symptoms?

We do know that the vaccine creates antibodies, though.

Have not tested for antibodies. However, I had covid just before getting the vaccine.
