Mentally ill? WTF?

Hispanic and union votes would the liberals. The GOP really needs to take a stand on bringing back those types of jobs in manufacturing. I wonder how many union jobs were lost to China and India over the last 25 years or so? THAT is the number I would hammer.

The Dems will drop them and marginalize them the moment they see them as a liability. Look at working-class whites in the Midwest that were the core of the Dem Party and have shifted to Trump. The hatred they spew for working-class folks is staggering.

Dems are primarily focused on college-educated whites and minorities that have no intention of working and want to be on the government dole. If you are a working-class person or a small business owner the Dems have no use for you. Democrats are making up their losses among minorities by getting a higher percentage of college-educated whites, especially women and ESPECIALLY single women. That's why they want them to get in debt from college, never marry, not have kids, and generally be unhappy.

What's interesting about that is the 2 percent Jewish vote. You hear about that tendency to vote seemingly against Israel's interest all the time, but 2 percent is kind of small to be putting such focus on. Maybe it would be easier to regard it as more like the Black vote -with about a 14-15% block vote you can count as `D' so should think in terms of winning over individuals of that 14% instead of `the block'. That is more doable---Trump is definitely doing/did it with the Black vote. Similar, don't try to win a `Jewish vote' --win individual ones of them, which is presumably already happening much with the Orthodox variety.

So you know like 5 of them? Most Hispanics I know (and I know a lot because I'm one of them) have at least one close family member that is gay. It isn't even in their top issues that makes them run from the liberals.

From a Hispanic perspective, at least in Texas, you're multi generations into the melting pot. We own land, are educated, and pay taxes. They are tired of their vote being taken for granted. Right now, they are being hit where they hurt..the pocketbook. Plus, I think Trump did a lot of good because he was macho.

We are right here, y'all. Ripe for the taking. Spend more time on the border and in San Antonio. You'll make Texas solidly red rather than pink.

"Wait a minute," Martinez Fischer said last week, sporting a big grin as his prime-time speech at the Democratic State Convention reached its zenith. "GOP. That should stand for gringos y otros pendejos. Now that's a good name for their ticket."

The line was greeted with uproarious cheers and applause from the 6,000 Democrats in the Dallas Convention Center.

It was also met with almost immediate outrage from some on the political right who found the line "gringos y otros pendejos" which loosely translates as "Anglos and other idiots" a crude and unseemly descent into racial politics. .Austin un-American Statesman News Link

What are some that do make them? Is it correct to guess they don't favor the enabling gang lawlessness, but find the pompous way the GOP talking heads whose businesses backed illegal immigration now go on about having to "go back to the back of the line" somewhat off-putting? Or do are they fine with the open border --- and what they run from liberals from are different?

People of my generation and younger can't relate to being a migrant farm worker or being part of a union. We also don't know what it's like to live in a frame shacked house. However some of us may have relatives that are newer, so if you say off putting stuff like "go back to where you came from, " you're talking about my family.

Ah, as guessed. And have always found that part of the messaging stupid. Even back in 2005 when it presaged losing the whole Hill. So what are things that turn off from liberals, rather than Republicans?

The good thing is, I don't know many people at all who think like this on an individual level. Wanting to stop the unmitigated flow at the border is a completely different thing but all of my conservative friends seem to respect the sh** out of hard working Hispanic immigrants, poor or not. Many of them employ these people as well and consider them friends and very good people. Pretty sure my lawn dude is illegal and I buy breakfast tacos and drinks for him and his daughter from time to time when he shows up every other Saturday morning bc I respect the hell out of them, and I am pretty sure his teenage daughter who helps him does well in school and is going to go to college. But I am also for heavily restricted immigration because I think it is what is best for my country. Not everyone his like him and his daughter, I couldn't care less what color they are.

Sorry for rambling, but I assure you the vast majority of white conservatives who want tough immigration procedures do not have anything against people like this or look down on them when they see them. I know that's hard to believe because we have been conditioned to think otherwise by politicians, media, movies etc. life.

So a foundational lynchstone of the whole Democratic Party message - race baiting and grievance culture planned govt theft - is a turn-off- -- excellent. That definitely needs to be borne in mind and taken into account.

Even more to the point, most of us don't want deportations of hard working, already settled in migrants in some silly retroactive uprooting -- just criminals and non-productive. Would much prefer many profs and reporters with less American spirit go.- specially Dem House members like the squad.

But unfortunately it can't be said that that is official --- there is way too much ambiguity when you hear right wing talking heads.

Amen, and a lot of the pro and anti-illegal immigration noise is coming from people far insulated from the Southern Border who tend to not have a clue what they are talking about.

I'll take it a step further. I don't have a problem with those on the other side of the border that want to come here to improve their opportunities for themselves and their families. I'd probably do the same if I were in their shoes. The border needs to be controlled or we aren't a sovereign nation but I don't begrudge the honest person that sees the opportunities here and wants them. I think the whole immigration thing needs to be streamlined tho. Give someone an answer even if the answer is "no". That part needs reform.

the American Jewish population is estimated at 7.6 million people, accounting for 2.4% of the total US population. This includes 4.9 million adults who identify their religion as Jewish, 1.2 million Jewish adults who identify with no religion, and 1.6 million Jewish children

____

I really don't know much about the Jewish population but there appears to be a distinct separation between the majority of American Jews and Israeli Jews. (It doesn't always follow these lines but it's there somewhere). Most progressive American Jews have some of the most extreme and divisive social ideas I have ever seen. I have tried to narrow down the distinction but any attempt to get to real information is shrouded by the anti-Semitic card, or it's actual white supremacy sources. I could be wrong, but it appears to be similar to actual Christian churches vs. the new progressive "lets embrace every sin imaginable" woke churches.

Either way, I do not ever see this group of progressives moving to the right. If anything they appear to be pushing things as far as possible in the democrat party to the extreme left.

Yes. And it is true the anti-semitic card is used to obscure any look at it. This is what makes Mark Levin's and Dennis Prager's open comments on the subject interesting -- they both say the radical Jews are precisely inventing all these bad `isms' as replacement for the instinctive yearn to G-d. It makes a psychological sense---its so engraved that false state worship replaces it. In any case, they say the same things as you --- they push things most extreme left of all.
