There is a lot of white flight from Fort Worth to the South and West. Parker County is the next great refuge of the common man getting away from thug life.

Exactly. Anyone that can't see that Fort Worth is moving in the same direction is blind.

All of this is sad - because none of this has to happen. I used to think problems in cities exist because solutions were unknown or difficult. I don't anymore. Watching Austin go from a great city to a cesspool while thriving economically in a half dozen years opened my eyes.

Problems in cities are created, deployed, and encouraged by predominantly democratic leaders to control the city electorate and to grow government budget and oversight.

We could have safe cities.
Vagrants could be taken care of
Crime and drugs could be stopped
Roads, electricity, and water could flow smoothly
Housing could be affordable
Taxes could be lower

Problems are the fertilizer that grows government.

Hamilton Park was the location where 6 of 31 were shot with 3 of the 6 dead.

Hamilton Park is basically between the two Texas Instrument campuses near north and far north Dallas and Lake Highlands area. Yes, the neighborhood immediately around the park is a traditional low income black neighborhood, but it's awfully close to some high rent and high cost neighborhoods of Northern Dallas as well as prominent commercial real estate corridor.

Smack dab in the middle of TX-32, which went Democrat with Collin Alred just 3 years ago.

American cities are dying due to Democrat policies. Everything liberals touch dies. We shouldn't be surprised they're killing our cities. It's the only possible outcome.

It was better when Wheels sent state troopers over for a few months to actually start pulling people over for traffic violations. They had thousands of arrests in a short period of time for drugs and illegal guns. Things were safer and you heard fewer gunshots at night. Then they left and now we're back to it looking like a new season of The Wire.

I have a cousin that moved to Gunter (spelling) somewhere around Sherman and drives in to Dallas every day for work.

That drive would suck but i guess it gets you out of the mess that dfw is quickly becoming.

I drove from 7.5 mi west of Weatherford to Hurst for my work commute for 17 years.

Was worth it to keep living out there. Brock is a great school.

Clay Jenkins and Ray Wiley Price are the two faces that always come to mind for me as to Dallas leadership. Even the Chicago mayor can't be more worthless than those two.

People living in Dallas desperately need to wake up and sell/move out. I won't even consider going to Northpark any longer because the crime has gotten so out of control. I have to go to the medical district several times a month and it's always a little scary what I see around/about.

Krok has been in talk radio for years

Every time I stop on WBAP radio in the evening, Krock comes across like a rookie jock that got pushed into service as an emergency replacement.

When he's out, the substitute hosts are much better.

If anything WBAP's earlier host, Rick Roberts, should be moved to evenings.

This is spot on. With the money that's poured into Austin it could be the envy of the entire country. They should have huge budget surplus every year.

Yeah. I used to listen to him some when I lived in McKinney. Every time he talked there was a little Mark Levin in my brain screaming, "backbenchers!"

If it's anything, the most obvious symptom I remember that was there used to be a lot less beggars out on the streets. I know LBJ and Preston ( 289) always had at least one, but I've been seeing them as far up north as 121 and Preston on a consistent basis. Hell, it seems hard to avoid them on ANY exit into a semi decent area off LBJ (Hillcrest, Preston, Inwood, Dallas Parkway, Belt Line (Coppell))
The beggars are also pretty aggresive too, I've seen a few go and block traffic and/or bang on windows. They were terrified of doing that a decade or so ago.
Also, the old Nokia building area E. Cambell and LBJ seems to have really gone downhill vs last time I was there.

It's inevitable. Once cities approach somewhere around 400-500k in population they generally go blue. There are only a few exceptions to this and it's simply due to the fact that democrats gather in urban areas.

Ft. Worth May be the largest holdout city in the country that is mostly red. San Diego is mixed and your other larger candidate is Phoenix but their results are hard to see.

For the longest time I had a hard time figuring out why the Dems are doing this. It isn't a winner for those whose neurons fire on a regular basis.

However, when you realize the ultimate goal is to establish a national police force, it makes this policy MUCH, MUCH worse.

So what the Dem party is doing, is not only allowing, but abiding murder, rape, assault, property destruction, and encouraging riots. Those are some fine people we have running the presidency, and both houses of Congress, along with 95% of DC. The majority of the crimes are committed against hispanic and black Americans.

Well done, Democrats. You actively support Americans being victimized by crime, being fearful for their family and children, and living a lower quality of life. Anyone who supports this, even indirectly, needs to seriously question who they believe are good people.
