They can be married, they can adopt kids, they may get to fly their flag, but at the end of the day they are still set apart, even liberals will call them a "gay couple" which sets them apart. Laws and tolerance cannot overcome the fact that they are way different than an overwhelming majority of the world. You can see it with your eyes, just like you can see different colors of skin and hair.

How does one divine the motivations of the driver? Are the beholders omniscient? What if the dude just dislikes crosswalks generally, or dislikes rainbow colors, or isn't a fan of Hawaii, or drives like that all the time?

HOAs generally suck.

You get some people on a power trip and they can make your life hell. As long as it is not being overly "in your face," if someone wants to fly a Trump Flag or a Rainbow flag, what's the big deal?
