Are there any posters here that regret accepting the vaccine shot? It hasn't been fully tested, and no one knows what side affects may result over time. The potential for younger people to be sterile and unable to have children.

Is it even okay for me to ask this?

Okay, I'll post this here...

My friend got the 2 Moderna shots.

After shot 1, she was fine for a week. She has a history of migraine trouble, and a week after shot 1 she got very sick and thought it might be a migraine. Pain all over her body. She deals with pain a lot, and she said the pain for this was a 10.

She was eventually hospitalized and they couldn't figure out what was going on. Her body was producing tons of lactic acid, but they couldn't figure out why. Finally her PCP realized her body was triggering a massive overreaction response to a perceived infection that wasn't there. All due to the vaccine.

She got better, and her doctor convinced her month later that she should get shot 2 because her body should do better now. Eventually, she relented, got shot 2. Same **** happened, only not as bad and she wasn't hospitalized.

She missed about 2-3 weeks of work due to this, and the doctor has signed some paper saying she never has to get the covid booster shot, which is sure to be recommended for extra EXTRA protection against the horrible maniacal killer covid.

Not me. Never. No vaccine. **** that. Ivermectin for me.

Edit to add... this is the sickest she has ever been in her 52 years. She got the shots because she works in an industry where she feels pressure to get vaccinated. Sickest she's ever been for a ****ing unproven vaccine to protect against a virus that kills .01% of people. No thanks, Moderna, how about you **** off.

It's well documented in this forum that I'm not taking it. However, the kid and the wife are fully vaccinated and while it's their decision I wish they would have waited.

I worry about the kid cuz they've been sick twice in a month since the second shot.

The wife had symptoms from both shots but she'll only admit to one having an effect.

I did the JnJ shot recently, after waiting for a while. Didn't want to do the others since they use the newer vaccine tech. Felt bad for a couple days, but good after that.

Will let you know if I start growing a third eye.

Myself and every doc in my practice are fine. I did get rid of my N95 at work so no more sores on the face which is great.

Got Pfizer - almost no reaction (a little fatigue after 2nd shot). We'll see long-term, but I'm 9 weeks post-2nd shot with no issues. That said, it's a personal choice and always should be.

Just don't mess with Ivermectin or Hydroxycloroquine, because Bret Baier said "This. Will. Kill. You!" Oh nevermind that he's not a doctor and that Hydroxycloroquine has been in regular use for 70 fricking years! It was too cheap. Better get the jab.

I guess this whole "gain of function" argument for laboratory manipulations he helped FUND must have changed everything. This dude and NON-DOCTOR Bill Gates are some evil people.

Good to hear. Most are reporting the same. I did hear of one personal account out of a small sample of personal contacts that he got a strange rash. A friend of mine noted that a coworker acknowledged his arm held the magnet as many have posted online. The FDA hasn't approved any of the COVID-19 Vax's as far as I have been able to decipher. Authorized? Yes, under emergency provisions. I'll steer clear. I avoid flu shots as well, but only because I've only had the flu about 3 times in about half a century. Not a total anti-vaxxer, but the incredible peer pressure from the media and our current clown government is enough to keep me suspicious, as they've gone out of their way to demonize a drug like HCQ, used successfully to treat malaria for 7 decades.

Got it, don't regret it. The engineering behind it is sound. My kids are 6 and 8 and will get it when it's allowed for them.

Most of my co-workers, family members, neighbors, and myself for various reasons chose to get vaccinated, a few dozen people that I know personally...and the only issues were a handful got a little bit fever and low energy for a day or two after the 2nd dose in particular. But that was about it.

Not aware of anyone I know 'regretting' getting it.

Honest question, why would you allow a 6 and 8 year old to get the vaccine when zero kids their age are dying from the virus, the vast majority no bad symptoms at all?

I guess we'll have "leper colonies" again since businesses and Xiden seem determined to go the route of covid passports.

- over 40
- have kids, wont have more
- took 2 moderna
- no side effects, just nothing really
- 2nd shot 2 weeks ago
- regrets? I have a few
- But then again, too few to mention
- I did what I had to do
- And saw it through without exception
- I planned each charted course
- Each careful step along the byway
- Oh, and more, much more than this
- I did it my way
- Yes, there were times, I'm sure you know
- When I bit off more than I could chew
- But through it all when there was doubt
- I ate it up and spit it out
- I faced it all and I stood tall
- And did it my way

I took J&J. No issues. No regrets.

I do find it humorous that people are so very anti vaccine due to uncertainty, but have no problem drinking 15 beers, Big Macs, Diet Coke, candy like crazy, nicotine and other things that we know are not good for the body.

Seems like if we are concerned about one foreign substance, we should be concerned about all.

I think the anti-vaccine thing is overblown personally, some people on an anti-vax soapbox are probably regularly eating or drinking something or have some lifestyle habits that are way more risky than getting a COVID shot.

That said, if somebody balks, then whatever. It is a personal choice.

The only thing that I have found a bit disturbing on the anti-vax side is the cess pool side of the internet with all the conspiracy theories like the vaccine is rewriting your DNA, Bill Gates is inserting a chip in your arm, it will turn your arm magnetic, it is killing <insert some huge number> people, etc.

But that is the unfortunate side of the internet. It's Conspiracy Theoryland. People for who knows what agendas or reasons put all sorts of stuff out there.

Like a vaccine that is not needed for a vast majority of the population, particularly given that multiple other treatments are available

Maybe it's related, maybe it's not- My Dad, 69yo, went into Afib two weeks after the second maderna shot. Had the shock procedure to restore normal rhythm. That worked for 2 weeks until it came back. Now they are scheduling the ablation procedure.

Our family doc (Aggie) STRONGLY urged us to not get the vaccine, as my wife and I are 30's and healthy. He said that he isn't getting vaccinated, nor is his immediate family- citing the risk of a rushed experimental vaccine vs 99.99% survival rate for his age group. Also- stated that he's regularly seeing patients with a variety of vaccine side effects. His hospital system is suppressing the side effects Info.

I'm pro-choice on vaccines, so more power to you if you don't choose to get it.

That said, my parents (83 & 80) both got the Pfizer vaccine and never had any reaction other than a sore arm.

Then I got the Pfizer a few weeks later and also never had any reaction other than a sore arm.

GeographyAg himself got the Moderna instead of the Pfizer. He had 8 hours of fever and then felt fine and has had no other symptoms in the months since.

None of us have any regrets so far, but of course there are risks to anything.

The COVID itself would probably be deadly for my parents - both have serious health issues. I'm very grateful they never got it before getting the vaccine.

We all decided we feared the side-effects from getting COVID (blood clots, heart damage, lung problems) more than we feared the risks of the vaccine.

But it's a choice for everyone to make for themselves.

The one thing I really don't like is fear-mongering one way or the other.

Get it, don't get it, I don't care. I don't ask, I don't tell. I just live and let live.

We are all anti vaccine passport.

Feeling like you don't need the vaccine is not a 'conspiracy theory'. Ok, fine. I got it myself not because I thought I physically needed it, but I got international travel (and travel right now is often a lot less pain in the ass with the red tape if you have been vaccinated). Basically I didn't think it a big deal whether I got it or not. Some practical issues made me decide to get it.

People on the internet pushing stories like the government is using it to track them, it will change your DNA, etc. that kind of stuff is what I will never get. The conspiracy theory crowd. But they are not going to go away, so that is what it is too.

Because they are around immunocompromised older folk that can't get vaccinated. And kids being out sick, even if mild, isn't worth taking PTO over so I'll shoot them up with every vaccine under the sun.
