Back about 1990 I was walking across campus near the Academic Building on one of the sidewalks that is just wide enough for two people. A friend was with me, and he was so wrapped up in our conversation, he didn't see the guy walking toward us. That guy had to step on the grass to avoid my oblivious friend from walking into him, and he was a little perturbed someone made him step off the sidewalk.

As we separated from that guy my friend who finally realized what happened said, "That guy seemed like a dick."


I said, "You just made Bucky Richardson walk in the grass."

So kids born circa 2000 are deeply ingrained with sidewalk racism despite probably not learning about any Jim Crow history until high school (so 2012 to 2016). Instead of it being deeply rooted in "racism" my guess the attitude is deeply ingrained in the "ME" generation. These kids are all about me and the behavior in public and social media suggests their narcissist tendencies.

I agree. I witnessed much greater racism in Wisconsin n the 1970's- 80's than I had seen in Texas. From living both in the North and South, the North seems to be much more racist.

That made the national news. Given the way that college kids are now demanding change of their universities such as not singing songs or taking down statues it is an issue whether you want to believe it or not, I want to make a smug comment about it.

We have an entitled generation that think that they can complain about anything and everything that they don't like and they tend to blame on racism and then expect some kind of change to associate their tantrums. This is not just isolated incidents at some schools this is a pervasive attitude of this generation of liberals.

It is not normal to complain about people walking down the sidewalk as being racist. There's nothing normal about it unless you're an idiot like Biden or the Democrats.

This kid's head would literally explode if he ever went for a walk in NYC pre-COVID.

The problem is that this is the result of formalized training in our institutes of higher learning. This isn't just a guy mouthing off. This is a guy reciting back what he has "learned" from entirely useless academic departments that infest almost every college in the country.
