Absolutely that most of all of about fathers. Its surprising it hasn't happened more often. It probably would have before the turn of the century.

And could not agree more that it is form of predator --- much like much national reportage now is verbal arson when it is not blather.

While explaining that conservative "political activists" (aka concerned parents) are communicating misinformation, she sends out the list of books that proves the criticism valid.

This librarian is a walking talking billboard for everything wrong in public education right now as teachers and administrators across the country, including conservative suburbs. Are all trying to out do each other in politizing every subject taught on campus and really not hiding the fact that the only political worldview that is "PRIZE" worthy is a leftist view.


Throw in almost any conservative political or theological book into that reading list and it would better fit the description of counter social norms than any of the books on the list. But the librarian seems to want to ignore that fact.

Got news for you all. There's clubs and organizations at every school on both ends of the spectrum. You have TP USA groups and left wing crazy clubs too. Being that this is optional it's not going to be viewed any differently than a political leaning club.

Second newsflash: The number of kids that are going to join an optional reading contest if it's not something they already wanted to read is small. It sounds like a lefty club for kids that already think lefty.

That being said, it was a pretty stupid idea by the librarian and is even more stupid to think there wouldn't be backlash.

Clubs are typically started and run by students with a staff sponsor. But the clubs don't exist unless the students keep them going.

This prize worthy reading list is being managed by a taxpayer funded staff person of the district.

That's not an insignificant difference.

While so many of us know this, we continue to let the government school system raise and indoctrinate our kids. This is not about going to the school board, this is about getting your kids out of the government school system and getting our tax money back. There is no compromise, government needs to get out of the education business. School choice should mean giving tax money back to parents to make a choice and let the market decide. We need politicians that can get this done instead of cowering to educators.

For what its worth I have school age kids and long ago pulled them from the government school system.

I do understand we have to do what is best for our families. This is a Gordion Knot to unravel.

Talking now about the Critical Theory people having admitted they want to get rid of the nuclear family model in the schools, and even pushing more than two biological sexes. You should hear some of the things discussed.
