Last summer, the California National Guard spurred controversy by sending an RC-26B spy plane to monitor Black Lives Matter protests in the wealthy Sacramento suburb of El Dorado Hills.
So....isn't the use of the RC-26, as well as the planned use of the F-15 a direct violation of the Constitutional prohibition of using the military against U.S. civilians?

Posse Comitatus, anyone?

Posse control.

Using our own weapons on civilians, sounds like something a dictator would do
According to a poster with a 70s-80s icon handle the California NG used a .50 helicopter gunship to shoot rioters in 1992. That never happened. If it did then after St George Floyd's death we would be hearing about it.

They want an act of domestic terrorism against the US military.

More importantly, they wanted the US military to be used against what they perceived was domestic terrorism.
The OP's link mentions George Floyd protests, the Presidential Election, and Covid. I don't think any of those can be perceived as "domestic terrorism".

The whole story sounds absurd to me. Doesn't pass the smell test.

Man I don't know. If a fighter jet buzzed me like that, I'd yell out "HELL YEAH!" and give them a thumbs up.

Military shows of force are only effective on third world peasants that have never seen tech like that.

So, you're saying it would be effective on Californians?
Lol.. Blue Angels would regularly "buzz" downtown SF during practice sessions leading up to Fleet Week. Was pretty cool to be on the 10th floor of a tower and feel the windows rattle.

This just reminded me of a story our VP Nick Lappos told us back when I worked at Bell.

He was ferrying a helicopter across the country and was over Kansas (IIRC) when he saw a big cloud of dust below him. He flew lower and saw that it was some kid hauling ass in a convertible Mustang down a dirt farm road.

So, he flew down, coming in behind and on passenger side until he was even with the car. The kid noticed it got dark, looked around and saw a ****ing helicopter next to him.

Lappos peeled off and watched as the car slammed on his brakes, spinning around.

You just know that poor kid tells that story to this day no NO ONE believes him...

My Favorite Pilot was one of a flight of T-38s doing a low level run up a river in Alabama. Fisherman in a small boat below stood up to watch them pass, tipped his head back to watch....tipped a little further...a little further....and fell in the river.
