I realize the body cam doesn't catch everything and that cop had his head on a swivel looking everywhere. BUT...

That scene exploded and escalated QUICKLY. Cop very likely saved Miss Pink's life. Thank God that cam caught 1, maybe 2 frames of that knife. He saw it but it dang sure wasn't on the cam long!

I saw online that NPR led with "girl calls police for help and they kill her".

No mention of the fact they shot her as she was trying to stab someone.

Maybe she had taken the knife from those she was trying to stab. Still doesn't excuse NPR's blatant headline designed to misdirect from what actually happened.

I failed the training. When I saw the still photo before I watched the entire video, I thought Hoodie was going "whoa, police pulled his piece" and was getting out of the way. 35 points off my score for not recognizing the assault of a minor on the ground while Captain Sharpshooter was getting ready to drop Miss Blade before she could pincushion Pinky and Fifi.

Make no mistake this will be more fuel for the BLM defund/reform narrative. Feel sorry for LEOs that have to patrol **** hole slums in big cities.

If this officer gets any kind of punishment at all for this, it's time for the rest of us to riot

There should not even be an indictment, he saved the girl in pink's life.

Think about this....

Does the cop know who called the authorities? Does he know what she is wearing?

When he approaches the scene, he sees a girl (keep in mind there is NO way to determine her age) trying to stab someone with a knife. If the person that called the cops feared for her life, she should have fled the scene instead of going into attack-mode!

Let's go a little further and say that BLM believes that someone other than a cop should have been called out to deescalate the situation. You are likely looking at a minimum of 1 death and numerous people injured.

If Mahkia stabbed pink girl to death in front of the cop, he wouldve gotten grief for not acting quicker to save a black girls life.

My 11 year old plays AAU basketball. I'm not at all surprised by much anymore. You should see some of these parents and how they carry themselves. I saw a coach use a slew of F words to a group of 4th graders. He was talking about getting scholarships etc. to a group of 4th GRADERS!!!!! Talk about messed up.

I have only been involved or directly observed fights a few times in my life and it has only ever involved fists, and one time a stick on the playground. If fighting with knives is normal, it's a culture problem, not a police problem.

Yeah... I'm all for de-escalation, but when you're actively engaged in assault or assault with a deadly weapon in front of cops, the time for de-escalation is gone. You're committing a felony, and you're going to jail. In this girl's case, you're going to the morgue.

Given that the scuffle breaks out right as the police arrive, I wouldn't rule out a staged scenario.

It's crazy to think it could happen, but it's a crazy world right now.
