Yes it could have. It could have been deescalated by anyone involved. It could have been de-escalated by not grabbing a knife. It could have been deescalated by the guy but instead he kicked someone that was already on the ground.

So many people could have deescalated but the cop wasn't one of them. He prevented a girl from getting killed. Blame everyone else for it escalating to that point.

Npr report now- minutes before chauvin verdict black teenager was shot by white officer while teenager was in fight

Interview- she was shot like a dog on the street

Police narrative is the officer was protecting others but it's disputed.


Npr is struggling to spin. Says it was questionable circumstances.

Only a mention of alleged knife, no mention of the girl being shot mid stab attempt.

It absolutely could have been deescalated by the people on the scene. The body cam footage literally starts with the cop getting out of the car so please tell me how the cop was supposed to deescalate prior to arrival.


BTW, if I'm a cop in that situation now? I wouldn't even get out of my car. The SCOTUS has said I don't have to protect lives and why should I if this is what is how I'm going to be treated?


That wasn't the only cop on the scene. I'm referring to the entire situation not just the actions by one officer.


The fact that we have a clear photo of the thug rearing back to plunge a knife into a victim the second before the officer shoots and you said the officer was "probably justified" shows us just how BSC your views are.

There is no probably about it.

The officer prevented a lethal stabbing.

Police bodycam shows police officer did some damn fine shooting. She was swinging the knife back to stab the other girl when he shot. He had all of 5-10 seconds from arriving on scene to shooting. He saved lives - black lives, and they matter.

Wow. He didn't even have time to say "Halt, police!" before he had to try to stop an attempted murder. And the pink dressed girl wasn't even throwing punches, and its hard to tell what the other thrown down was doing. Seems just barbarian conduct.
