So not to put too fine a point on this, he's sitting in his car with two dealers from whom he had previously gotten fentanyl/meth combination that had caused an OD in March 2020.

The pills that were found in Floyd's car that the FBI was even surprised at the combination and concentrations of the drugs, according to Nelson. Partially dissolved, with Floyd's DNA on them.

How many of those super pills did Floyd take that day? Three times the lethal dose according to the tox report.

For some reason, I'm starting to get an inkling of a sense that maybe, just maybe, it's a tiny bit possible that the cop isn't a murderer. I'll wait for the defense witnesses and testimony though. I bet the prosecution has some tricks up their sleeve to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that asphyxiation from a cop's knee during restraint was the only cause of death.

You could see her whole body relax when State got back to the podium. When the witness relaxes like that, you get to see what she really thinks.

Wasn't the states argument on intoxication levels based on his tolerance levels? So they need to show he used so often he built up tolerance and the "3x lethal dose" was not really "3x lethal dose" for Mr. Floyd.

got his gf to admit that he ODd in march from heroin, was having the same symptoms as the arrest (stomach pain and mouth foaming) and that he called his GF mama as well

Right. Problem with that argument now is that this last witness said he stopped for a few months prior to picking it back up 2 weeks prior to death. Tolerance drops A LOT very quickly. That's why so many ODs happen fresh out of a 30-60 day rehab. It's not unreasonable to think that cops showed up. He thought he could handle it, and just started popping them like skittles.

They should have been. Those were FBI transcripts of her prior statements. Of course the prosecution had them. In fact, the prosecution had to give them to the defense.

I kind of halfway expected to say she was high while she was being interviewed by the FBI so don't trust anything she said to them but she didn't.

That's where the medical testimony will come into play.

An interviewee for court tv just have a good scenario where reasonable doubt could very well come into play if the experts disagree on cause of death after briefly mentioning the latest testimony. I think it was well balanced for once.

I can't imagine how that witness was anything but good for Defense, but I also can't imagine how this trial ever got to this point.

If the prosecution doesn't have absolutely stellar experts, it will be quite an uphill climb to get to proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

How quickly the narrative of the state's case has fallen apart by their own witnesses.
