He asked one other question (whether she presented ID as a firefighter) and then closed the cross examination.
Prosecution followed up by asking if she was carrying her ID, and she responded no.
This rang a bell from long ago EMT work. From photo evidence she was in not in identifiable EMS working gear nor able to properly identify as EMS. Had no standing.
Sorry but and overactive Jesus Syndrome doesn't cut it.Quote:
3. HOW TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS A FIRST RESPONDER
An important part of your safety and the safety of others is your ability to identify yourself as an EMS provider when the time comes to help. In a charged situation, such as the incident in Minneapolis, law enforcement will be reluctant to allow you into the scene unless they know who you are and your credentials. One of their first duties in a crisis is to control the scene and limit who goes in or out. It is sad to think this happens but there have been plenty of cases where individuals have impersonated EMTs, firefighters and even law enforcement just to get into a scene or to check out what is going on. It is understandable that officials would not take you on your word and ask for proof.
While many of us proudly wear off-duty shirts and other apparel identifying our services, you should also consider having other identification available. Do you have an identification card from your employer or a state license that can be quickly shown?

Other than the fact that hero / good citizen Floyd is just spreading the 'Rona all over the place to all of the unmasked patrons and employees.Troy91 said:
Not exactly riveting in store footage.
They said the time stamp was wrong though.aggiehawg said:
7:44:36. That's roughly 15-20 minutes before Lane and Kueng arrived on scene.
I dont think that's correct. The witness said he couldnt confirm the time, and he didnt know if it was correct. It seems like it was (and prosec. says they can confirm later)waitwhat? said:They said the time stamp was wrong though.aggiehawg said:

Apparently, other surveil videos in the store show a different time.waitwhat? said:They said the time stamp was wrong though.aggiehawg said:

Because if the state didn't, the defense would have. Establishes that the bust was legit.MEENAGGIE09 said:
I realize they are building here...
But why would prosecution call this witness? So far it seems at BEST neutral to their case.

Here's the deal. If Floyd had come back inside and provided a real 20 for the fake one, the cops would not have been called. He had two opportunities to do that and refused.

Dude is dead. No way to know if Floyd knew about the bills or not.Troy91 said:
Wonder if defense will go after those handoffs at some point or if prosecution is going to claim that Floyd didn't know the bills were counterfeit as his partner swapped them on him.
Agreed. But there is quite a bit of exploring what Floyd felt or knew in the video.cz308 said:Dude is dead. No way to know if Floyd knew about the bills or not.Troy91 said:

That would confirm Floyd knew they were fake.Readzilla said:
Idk if this was confirmed but allegedly the person in the red hat and pants tried using a bill and was turned away, and then gave it to floyd to try
Floyd is not on trial here. Who cares?cz308 said:Dude is dead. No way to know if Floyd knew about the bills or not.Troy91 said:
