That she can be held in criminal contempt of court and placed directly in jail from Cahill's court room if she misbehaves again. I would also advise her strongly that she should apologize to both Mr. Nelson and the court when she is back on the stand this morning or send an email to both tonight stating her remorse. But I wouldn't let her craft her own, I'd write it for her. Little snot is way too arrogant to be trusted to not try to include some silly type of argument in her defense in a non-apology apology.

Nelson will wreck her in cross tomorrow so prosecution will likely be objecting over and over to save her. So the final instruction is for her to wait for the entire question, count to two to give prosecution the chance to object. She's so dumb she might actually say that out loud. Onnne, twooo.

I'm trying not to make a bunch of posts while I watch the EMT cross examination, but she's clearly trying to outsmart the lawyer and forgetting that she's an EMT.

Just answer the questions in a factual way.

This is why I hope I never need to take the stand. I simply don't have the demeanor for being in court. Even when I was volunteering for CASA I had to hold myself back when folks were giving statements.

Cahill is a very mild mannered judge. Takes a lot to get him worked up and she stepped on his last nerve. Judges rarely abruptly send the jury out to admonish a witness like that because it sends a signal to the jury. He had already instructed her that she had to read her previous statement. She was being recalcitrant in following the judge's instruction. He'd had enough and sent the jury away before severely admonishing her.

Considering the decorum of courts, that was an explosion by a judge, especially this judge.

The fact that she said she was worried for the life of black witnesses because the police were still around tells you her open SJW type bias. Ridiculous on its face and blatant pandering to the jury.

I must have not seen the right feed because I didn't see Cahill send the jury out or anything. I did notice some weird transitions so I must have watched the wrong video.

What I saw was just a few seconds of the EMT getting flustered and then Cahill telling her that she will answer the questions and then asking for the cell phone chick to come in.

WAIT! I'm just now realizing that I misunderstood a part where they were dismissing folks. I remember the judge saying some people will stay, including the witness, and then he drilled her.

Makes much more sense. I just thought it would be more dramatic. I've never watch a trial outside of a movie and this is just boring lol

It's not hard. Answer the question, tell the truth, and shut up. You have to remember that one side wants to make you look like a genius, the other side wants to make you look like a moron, and that it's not personal.

There's rarely a good time to make a snide comment on the witness stand, unless an attorney asks an incredibly stupid question. Even then, you shouldn't do it. Your job is to make the jury believe what you're telling them. You can get away with a lot more in an administrative hearing where a judge isn't present. But even then it requires a good read of the room to know if you can get away with it.

Testifying in court is much easier than testifying in front of a legislative body. In court you understand why you are there. In legislature you know most of the people asking you questions are complete **** sticks.

What I mean is I would start to lose it when I realized the lawyers were trying to lead me along. Listening to these questions today was driving me nuts.

Just ask questions with factual answers. Quit trying to ask opinionated questions.

I can't imagine any of the remaining people set to testify for the prosecution will improve the situation. These were all first hand witnesses and half were ineffective and half were overreactive and aggressive.

Once the science/medical experts testify it's really going to boost the defense's case.
