He stated they did not receive the additional information on why the call was upgraded to Code 3. But according to the printout, the Code 3 went out with explanation of suspect down on the ground under restraint or words to that effect. When dispatch sends that Code3 out the same information goes to everyone involved in that call.

So this witness is solely for the purposes of getting to hear the audio again.

You're welcome. I noted at the time at how exculpatory that printout was because noting that the suspect is down and under restraint is the training manual direction after placing them in a MRT.

When there's a recess would someone be so kind as to summarize the highlights from this morning? I came into this thread when everyone was freaking out about a particular witness that inadvertently undercut the prosecution, but am not about to ascertain exactly what occurred. Something about the power of the pills and possibly a reference to the name "Mama"?. Anyway, I am not able to follow as closely as many of you and know the news outlets will not hit on the relevant aspects of the day with any reliability.

We've gotten cardiac arrest and failure to resuscitate. Where is the asphyxiation or neck damage?

Now may be a good time for defense to get into the weeds on asphyxiation.

This guy sucks. He doesn't even know how to articulate what his job entails. And his job entails communications between ambulance and hospital as well as his partner and any others present. Must be the reason he's the driver.

Interesting that he said they only wanted the cop in the ambulance with them to help with chest compressions and not with providing security for a perp.

He was trained in a HS class. What do you expect?

Defense is going to tear this apart asking about foam mouth, experience with OD's, etc. Another state witness that's going to support the defense.

Again, an EMT is almost always a guy who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the night before but thinks he is a junior doctor.

I think that he would need something to keep blood pumping while they got ready for the defibrilator.

I was surprised to be told in the 1980s that they can sometimes have people cough to help keep their heart pumping blood for a short time.

Yeah, but paramedics spent like a week at the holiday inn.

They do a tough and important job, but their actual medical knowledge never comes close to their medical confidence.

Prosecutions witness just testified that he's not an expert. His testimony is confirming it.

Prosecutor needs to sit down.

Wish I could hear the objections better. The defense is way ahead on the sustained tally, I believe.
