People who live in urban areas and tend to disregard traffic and pedestrian rules versus those who tend to live in suburbs or rural areas and tend to more often follow laws.

I believe that's the "not giving a damn about the laws" stereotype.

And now, a racially insensitive explanation of why these numbers make sense (it's not racist because I deride everyone equally)

Asians : more likely to be the ones hitting the pedestrians

White/non-Hispanic: feel entitled to just walk wherever the **** they want

Hispanics: move slower = increased opportunity to get hit crossing the street

Blacks: cop dramas have taught us that people frequently get hit by busses when running from the cops

Native Americans/Alaska native: Who hasn't hit a piss drunk Indian (feather) stumbling down the middle of the street?

We should equalize the number of points you get for each in order to combat this problem!

How many times have you witnessed a pedestrian defiantly walked out in traffic and slowed cars down, daring you to hit them? Besides them being a dumb ass, what was the other characteristic that they shared?

So is he saying we need to run over more Asians to even things out?

So per the link, for a national average of 1.6 deaths per 100,000 people per year (.0016%), he wants to slow down all of the features that keep traffic moving quickly (e.g. right turn slip lanes).

Naturally these "problems" are shown to be worse in southern states.

This picture reminds me of all the people I have seen trying to cross 35 at 51 street in Austin.


I have seen one person hit but to be honest I don't remember their skin color. They were male and either white, hispanic, native american or black. Well they were male but I don't know what they identified as.

But they were definitely high and drunk.
