Disagree. It should be whatever the market will bear for your skill set. Minimum wage jobs are for teenagers and retired greeters at Walmart looking for something to do. My skill-less 19 year old daughter made 13.00 an hour as a checker at HEB over winter break.

For $6 you can buy ingredients for a weeks worth of sandwiches.

Budget your ****ing money. If you make money wage, you can't afford to go out to eat. Plus, food stamps pay for way more food that you could actually eat.

It amazes me that people really think they should be able to live a life of luxury on a minimum wage income. I fully agree that basic minimum expenses like rent, bills, and groceries should be covered by that wage. But you shouldn't be able to live fancy. And you sure as hell shouldn't be retiring at 65 as a cashier.

You CAN'T be serious. I had exactly ONE job that was minimum wage. ONE. My first. I was 16.

Actually, had I known about another place where I ended up working a year later, I never would have worked at the first place and made minimum wage. Most of my friends were making more than minimum wage before we graduated HS. In fact, if you weren't, you didn't say anything.
True story, I made .25 an hour when I started working. I was 18 and just graduated from high school. Thirty five years later I made $75.00 per hour. I worked for the same company the entire time. My husband and I put two children through college with zero debit when they graduated. I was able to save enough to have a good retirement. All of this, was with a high school education and lots of hard work. People today seem to be unable to wait and work for the things they want. If you get everything at the beginning where is the sense of accomplishment when you get the things you have always dreamed of?

Wait 'til some lib tells her she has to buy two teas.

wait 'til they see how much a sandwich cost when everyone working in the sandwich shop and every company employee that supplies goods to the sandwich shop is making $25/hr.

She means sandwiches are about to cost $25. Everyone middle class and below needs to feel the pain. Leveling the field is never about increasing wealth. Always about spreading poverty
. Most folks will just decide to make a sandwich at home.
The first 2 articles shown here are part of the problem. I would hazard to guess, working age Gen Z probably follows the same trend.

https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/news/2015/06/millennials-eat-out-more-and-spend-more-when-they-do-than-non-millennials

I know these are older articles, and obviously they are not the only generations working for minimum wage, but they probably make up the bulk of it. Things like this do nothing to help their circumstances. In BCS alone, just look at the shear volume of the college age crowd that regularly eats out. You see people making a lot more money eat out a lot less than they do. Maybe if they viewed certain purchases as more of a luxury vs the norm, a lot less would be pushing for their college to be paid for. Like you said, you can make a lot of sandwiches at home!

The real question is how many sandwiches a day should minimum wage be.

The reality is, there are people that can't even get one sandwich a day.

Minimum wage should be like 15 sandwiches a day. Save up your sandwiches and buy a bed and a place to put it.

Making minimum wage go from $8/hour to $15/hour isn't going to change that. Not at all. It's just going to make sandwiches more expensive.

Same reason that rich people like high taxes.

They have their money already, plus a battalion of lawyers ad accountants to help them keep it.

High taxes are there to keep others from getting rich and competing

How do the 81-million feel about the MSM and political power brokers bypassing the constitutional process for removal of the president by forcing the person they elected to resign?

After all, we talking about the most popular president of all time here by 7-million votes.

Point is that nobody elected the people forcing Biden to resign, and the 81-million that voted for him seem perfectly ok with it.

No pushback at all on this.

They're too dumb, brains have been eroded by TDS. The only time they've ever heard of the 25th amendment was when it was mentioned for Trump. Then like rats following the Pied Piper, they all started cheering and chanting invoke the 25th ammendment.
