This push by this dog**** administration is such a ****ing joke. Equity will never be achieved. Ever. People aren't equal. Cultures aren't equal. Asians and Indians are so successful in this country because their primary cultural emphasis- hard work - is what this country was founded upon. Black people are the least successful group in this country because their culture is broken.
There's no admission of their accountability for their own failures. It's all about catering to an easy sell of victimhood that allows them to point fingers at everyone else.

Those of you that voted for this stupid bull**** deserve every bit of pain you're going to experience.

I think equity makes more sense in some cases than equality.

Let's look at the COVID crisis. Equality would say send everyone including the richest Americans a $2,000 check.

Equity would say, determine who is in need based on income or job loss and only send them a check.

I realize that equity can be taken too far, but the concept has been applied for years. Our tax system is an example of an unequal but equitable system.

Equity realizes that some people in our society need more help than others so don't create policy that can't be adapted to individual needs and just assumes everyone is equal. It seems like common sense.

White people ate 65% of this country.

Those that already have all the power they want, the elites, they want to use the idea of "equal outcomes for all" to wipe out the middle class and have all people other than them to enjoy equal and crappy outcomes. They have no desire to give up their own status.

This is nothing more than a method of elites to eliminate completion from the rising middle class.

They pretend to be opposites, Left and Right, but honestly they are the same and using different names

"Equity" is when you measure each guy's glass to make sure each has the exact same amount of beer.

"Equality" is when you make sure all have a clear path to the keg.

Achieving true "equity" would mean the end of those willing to take risks, and in doing so, the death of ingenuity, innovation, efficiency, and wealth creation.

Of course, that's not totally true . . .

. . . there will always be exceptions for the elite and the "right thinking" citizen to enjoy true freedom in the market place, and the wealth it can create.

However, that eventually evolves into a class system, a caste system, and it will always at some point end very badly.

So my take away is that persons who are short need more boxes.
I am curious though, what happens if the tall dude bought the boxes and the short dude didn't buy any. Was the tall dude forced to give up the only one he had and paid for to the short guy who already got one free box and could see just fine through the hole in the fence?

I love this cartoon, and every time I see it I tell the communist using it...

"That's great, unless the tall guy built the boxes and you took it from him by force. If so you've removed the incentive for the box maker and once these wear out no one will have a box.

I've seen this graphic in slide presentations from our new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion VP in our many sessions since the George Floyd incident.

Here's my interpretation: liberals believe that minorities and women can't achieve in the workplace without "equity boosts". It's no longer about equal opportunity. It's about giving certain people a boost or a leg up - specifically people of color or women. If you're a white male, screw you. "Equity" is the climax of soft bigotry. They smartly just change the word slightly to fool simple minded folks to say yes, that's what we want, too.

I'm a Libertarian who hates taxes but I think equity is a better concept than equality. If you look at the example there are 3 boxes in both pictures. Think of those 3 boxes as taxes. The same amount of tax is being collected in both photos.

The difference is in the equity scenario, you aren't throwing taxes towards someone who doesn't need it. Like the government sending me a check when my income actually increased in 2020. I would rather them take my portion and send it to someone who lost their job.

Got it.

If the dad teaches his boys well they should be able to fend for themselves and be okay. That's key for that picture to work from any rational person's POV.

That said, if I didn't notice the peephole to the left of dad (box+height=view), I'm jumping up and grabbing at those perfectly placed arms-length and palm-assisting notches in the boards, and pulling myself up to get a peek.

Those are two conservative approaches right there where no assistance is needed to see the game.

I think most chiming in on this thread need to understand the difference between the two terms as they are NOT the same. The left knows this but they also know that most sheeple will blindly associate equality with equity.
