Isnt this the employee that they specifically singled out and claimed was on some Antifa Zoom call claiming he was going to fix the election so Trump couldn't win?

Goes in to pretty good detail on how his name was repeatedly used publicly by the defendants. Also goes into his alleged damages. Not sure I'm understanding the lack of standing argument

There was a video of him talking. That's not defamation.

The clownish "lol no standing" posts on this thread are self- owns that didn't even click the article.

"Defendants knowingly circulated and amplified a baseless conspiracy theory to challenge the integrity of the presidential election," the lawsuit says. "While this theory has been thoroughly rejected, its immediate and life-threatening effects remain very real. The deluge of misinformation has caused immense injury to Dr. Coomer's reputation, professional standing, safety, and privacy. Once an esteemed private election technology expert, Dr. Coomer has been vilified and subjected to an onslaught of offensive messages and harassment."

Yes. And he might have a cognizable claim there.unmade bed said:

Further, there will be some interesting discovery issues if he goes through with it. Will have to be a carefully crafted complaint not to open the doors to Dominion itself

And anyone want to guess why Dominion did not file this suit? Hint: it's "good lawyerin'"

Problem for Coomer is all of the videos of him conducting demonstrations that are out there. Also, the federal suit in Georgia, the Curling v. Raffensperger, et, al. case, he's a terrible witness and gets ripped to shreds on cross. Judge Totenberg found him to be not credible.
Further, there will be some interesting discovery issues if he goes through with it. Will have to be a carefully crafted complaint not to open the doors to Dominion itself and I'm not sure that's even possible.
Fully agree. Get a hold of those transcripts from all of those hearings before Totenberg and any other sworn testimony he has given in the past. I'm sure they will be filled with potential landmines over which Coomer will trip.Quote:
Yep, also the guy that evidently testified that he wrote code for dominion but then wrote in an Op-Ed that he did not. Depositions should be interesting if it gets that far.

I'm not surprised you support this idiotic lawsuit. The lawsuit is doa.Quote:

and another lib referring to himself as DR... lolol
Most likely, but think of how glorious it would be!dreyOO said:
What would be great is if the dominion employee was actually doing this as a favor to open up discovery.
But I assume this will just disappear.
