Ted Kennedy pushed through immigration reform in 1965. The exact question was even raised on the floor of Congress during the debate and the proponents stated that the changes would not materially affect the ethnic composition of the USA.

Contraception was legalized in 1960 and abortion in 1972. That was probably part of it. The Catholic Church says both are morally grave sins. Most Mexicans are Catholic. Mix in illegal immigration and there you go.

Personally, I don't care what color they are. I just want immigration to be restricted to merit based selection. If we limit immigration to folks with merit and ambition, assimilation and maintaining conservative balance will take care of itself.

Of course I'd like to see the local US population start reproducing at higher rates so that depending on immigration wasn't necessary, but the lower birth rate trends are 4 decades in the making.

I've done my part. 2 biological, 2 adopted from birth, 3 brought into my family at older ages (went from resource-less illegal immigrants to citizens fully employed taxpayers), 2 god-children taken in as late teens (one now an Aggie graduate nurse and one a certified commercial welder), and a god-son-in-law who we just got his permanent visa and on path to legal citizenship)

Lots of different races, all Christian, all conservative and all proud 2nd amendment supporters. Immigration doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Citizens have to have a glue, either culturally or by blood.

We have neither. There is no overwhelmingly culture because we've brought in so many different ones, its all a hodge podge. Its not a melting pot of western European cultures, its a curdled soup with some random crap thrown in.

You think whites have gone from 90% of the population in '65 to 60% now because of birth rates?

Its a factor. The lower number of white immigrants combined with the lower-that-replacement for to lift rates is leading to a very flat white population.

Black population is also flat, with a fertility rate dropping low in recent years and less immigration numbers.

Hispanic and Asian populations are the ones growing in America.

Asians has the same low birth rate but continue to immigrate here in increasing numbers.

Hispanic fertility rates are dropping fast, but still above the rest. The biggest difference here is the large amount of immigrants still coming in.

To me this was a nice sign in the recent elections, where conservatives finally made some significant inroads with Hispanic populations (particularly Cubans and South Americans)

So where is the killing?

Cubans and South Americans (the ones here) are predominately white. Most of the immigrants from Mexico are extremely indio and don't share the culture the way the Spanish do.

Completely aware, which is why it's more complicated than the OP suggests. Immigration by race is oversimplified.

If you get the immigration vetting process right and you resist all this entitlement crap (for citizens too), then immigration can be a great thing. It honestly made this country great in the first place.

Everything has to be oversimplified to work on such a large scope. There will be friction even between the same races, look at the Irish and Italian waves. However, same race immigration will generally assimilate easier than mixed race.

The English found this out when the nice Pakistanis who were tolerable at 2% of the population, ripped the mask off and instituted grooming gangs and shariah law when they were at 5%

Until you go through the process, you have no idea how strange it is.
Like anything else in the world, if you have $$$$$$ you can make it happen.

I know more wealthy Mexicans that immigrated with cash (from cheating, stealing and oppressing their fellow people of color) and started businesses here in Texas than professionals from India, Pakistan or China. These Mexicans lost their country, became citizens here and live in their culture, but thank GOD for being able to be here.

Yes, skin color itself doesn't matter but its highly correlated with behavior, as it shows your ancestry. Different environments picked for different skills.

If you tell me someone has epicanthic eye folds, they're likely shorter than someone who doesn't. That doesn't mean it's the eye folds fault.

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

Killing members of the group;
Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

It hits the 3rd one and the last one above. Genocide does not always mean killing.

Interesting list. So ironically, by the UN's own dubious definitions yes, the term could fit. Couple that with some of the elements in FrioAG's post and you have an explanation of the trend as a mixture of deliberate and just circumstantial. But no matter how you slice it, the OP title is strongly misleading in its accent to the point of undermining message when it has something to show in the graph. It would be more accurate to call it `White Marginalization' if you must.
