Oh my goodness gracious yes, and they're not wrong. Around a decade ago the boomers took over Facebook
and it's been radicalizing Nanas ever since. Your Nana was never going to be on 4Chan, but she is on Facebook getting a never ending stream of pro Trump memes mixed in with Pizzagate/Qanon/Infowars and warnings that a convoy of Antifa assault buses has been seen heading for Branson, MO. Before that it was birther stuff and stories about Obama's secret Muslim machinations. Trump rose to power as an entire nation of Angry Facebook Uncles somehow embodied in one man.

FB is probably close to a 50/50 in terms of idiot echo chamber, but my experience has been that it leans towards TDS than it does conspiracy theories. I know there are some boomers reading dumb ****, but it's very few in my world.

The honest concern with FB is the censoring. It's been blatant against conservative news. Somehow they don't censor the crazy **** but anything that could potentially be real gets slapped immediately.

That's intentional. They want to leave enough of that out there to make the right look crazy. Then they delete the legitimate or probable claims by the right to protect the left.

Everything from the left is nuts and supported by the media, so no point in censoring them.

He's got the FB thing wrong, like a lot of other things, but the man is a genius. Very smart.

I would bet his wife is as well. Don't fall for the fallacy that she is as she plays on stage.

"It's time for a fundamental rethink of social media and how it spreads hate, conspiracies, and lies."

"All this hate and violence is being facilitated by a handful of internet companies that amount to the greatest propaganda machine in history," he told an audience in New York.
