I'm not saying that there were really 10,000 ballots from dead voters.

However, 10,000 attempted votes of dead people, unreported, with zero convictions of voter fraud, is a HUGE FREAKING DEAL!!!!!!

Yup. And more importantly, if 10k dead people ballots went out that were responded to with a vote, how many other unsolicited ballots from living people were correspondingly mailed in and accepted? Are we supposed to believe the only unsolicited ballots that went out and were cast by someone other than the individual on the mailing address just happened to be dead?
