After the 2021 elections, there were 170 Trump/D districts and 409 Biden/R districts. This count includes multi-member districts though. You aren't gonna see a whole lot of districts in the MMD chambers that Trump won where a Democrat squeezes by.

Jimmy Carter was the last POTUS to carry Texas and after that it wasn't even close, even against Barry who had two terrible opponents. the California migration to Texas started to ramp up when Newsome began to make it fiscally impossible for most people to continue to live in CA. CA is overwhelmingly Democrat and anyone who says otherwise are just liars period. Blue voters have fiscal limitations and the night and day difference in CA and TX is cost of living contrast is so huge it's undeniable.
