It is so maddening to me. These voting systems are supposed to contain everything they need to perform the tasks without the need for external printers, computers, networks, software, etc. They scan, tabulate, and aggregate the voting data onto encrypted storage with the means to export the data to encrypted removable devices. Bringing in any laptop, router, WIFI device, etc. introduces a potential security threat and should not be acceptable or possible.
