iirc, county claims they provided all their passwords and that they never had admin or root passwords for the machines or devices.

So who is the administrator and who really ran the election if only Dominion had admin passwords? Why didn't county IT guys have admin passwords for their own machines or devices? How did the other auditors have a quick clean opinion without inspecting admin rights, configurations, and logs if no one at the county knew the admin passwords? Why won't Dominion provide them to the county after they were requested for an audit by the state senate?
Mornin' ladies and gents.

I need some help (no comment here). Let's assume for second Maricopa County is telling the truth, and they have no passwords for the routers. Other than the fact the county has been lying their ass off and are 100% incompetent with malice aforethought, would the county residents have standing to suit the crap out of the county, even though it's their own money?
Then how would they even know to make the claim that sensitive law enforcement and personal voter information is stored there if they don't have access? Remember, MCBOS and the Sheriff (Soros bought) are the ones claiming the routers are 1) a storage device and 2) are interfaced with multiple other county agencies.

Both claims are BS of course.

One point of clarification.

I don't ever recall a statement that they (Maricopa County) didn't have passwords for the routers (specifically the county network routers). That statement was tied to the Dominion voting machines and election hardware.

The fact the people certifying the environments after they were setup (Pro V&V / SLI Compliance) gave the green light while Maricopa County Elections were not in full control of their hardware is yet another, major red flag. What is one of the first things you do after you buy/install a WIFI router in your home? Change the administrator password.

Think about it.....

  • Maricopa County awards bid to Dominion who supplies election hardware
  • Maricopa County allows Dominion to install and setup hardware, and maintain administrator access
  • Pro V&V / SLI Compliance provide the certification and sign off on hardware even though Maricopa County Election officials do not have basic controls or IT best practices in place
  • Voter registration data is compromised prior to the election and essentially covered up

After all this, what does the SoS do? Brings in those same companies to audit the process they certified. Is anyone shocked the people who signed off on the mess would find they had made no mistakes and everything worked perfectly?

Edit to add: Even if Pro V&V, SLI Compliance, Dominion, and the SoS are 100% honest and above board, this is extreme indifference / gross negligence.

If Dominion had access to the network in order to administrate the voting system, would they not also have access to the supposed LEO data and sensitive private information that he sheriff was so crazy about? This is his claim against the auditors. If he had such angry concern about third party access to this, where is his concern about Dominion getting on the network?

At this point, all of the hyperbole and obfuscation is taking a life of its own.

For the sheriff to make a statement saying handing over the network opened the county systems to risk, he would be correct. Giving the addressing, routing, firewall rules, etc to a bad actor would be giving them a map to where everything is and how to navigate. That is not what he did/said. I am about 99% sure the sheriff doesn't have more than a very basic understanding of what a network is. This didn't stop him, or whoever wrote his statements, from the massive embellishments.

Networks are audited all the time for compliance, penetration testing, etc. There are no shortages of tools and well defined processes by which an IT department can protect their systems/data/network while allowing a 3rd party to do a review.

I don't want to derail this thread by plunging it into a full tech discussion, but Maricopa County's problems are obviously deeper than the 2020 election. It seems clear they are lacking basic controls in a number of areas and don't appear to follow basic tech best practices.

To be honest, I don't know for sure. If the Dominion equipment was isolated from the Maricopa County network (air-gapped), as it was supposed to be, the risk would have been limited to just the election equipment.

if the election gear, was in any way, allowed to connect to, or through, the county network the risk is increased. To what level? We would need the results of a forensic audit. That said, I don't want to further traffic in hyperbole. Just because I have a device on a network which I have administrative access to, it doesn't mean I have the same level access for everything connected. For an example, you can have your laptop or cell phone connected to your work network, a hotel network, etc. You have full admin rights to your devices, but that doesn't mean you automatically have access to your CEO's email or the hotel's guest registry. Are you a greater risk than someone who is not connected, absolutely, but basic best practices and controls can all be eliminate that risk completely.

I said I wasn't going to derail this thread into an IT wormhole but let me give you another, very basic example. You can implement technology to monitor infrastructure. If a new device, of any type, is detected on a network segment an alert will fire. You can also, through automation, have the network port the device is connected to be disabled. Similar to your WIFI router at home, you can maintain a list of approved devices MAC addresses allowed to connect. In an enterprise network, you can do even more....you can even have a device tied to a specific port, so even if it is an allowed device, it will not work plugged into another part of the network.

They have to know something.
I'm sure they do, but not much. The audit folks can't afford to chat with anyone, not even a little. However, since they are human, I'm sure a few folks know some script. Most Dems believe the Right is evil and their side is virtuous above all. As such, the Dems very likely have spies and corrupt (redundant) folks everywhere around the audit to "investigate".

I strongly suspect Maricopa County won't have to comply with any subpoenas from any judge, anywhere. Democrats rarely seem to have to reply to subpoenas, and when they don't, no one suffers.

And since the routers and passwords aren't available, the Dems will use that as a means to say the audit was incomplete and unprofessional.
It is beyond infuriating that Maricopa County has blatantly ignored subpoenas with absolutely no accountability. Someone needs to be charged with contempt and locked up.

That's really my point. The sheriff is speaking out of his ass. As far as whether or not the voting system was air-gapped or not, the auditors seem to believe that they were not, otherwise why would they be asking for the routers? If they are not air-gapped, then if the sheriff believes it is theoretically possible for the auditors to compromise the county's network he should have the same concern about Dominion employees. But clearly he doesn't. The entire response from the sheriff looks like ignorant flailing around and false alarmism.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. There are only (3) possible outcomes here:

1) The election was legitimate, or with minimal fraud / human error
2) The election suffered moderate to substantial fraud caused by negligence / human error
3) The election was deliberately targeted for fraud (and the level needs to be identified)

It is frightening to see how many people out there are incapable of understanding how much they will lose if they cover up or ignore negligence / fraud because this time the result was what they wanted.

Because it was Trump, nothing will be done. Too many libs, concerned moderates, and RINOS are happy to see him gone. But, doesn't mean the left won't try the same BS again when Desantis is running against Heels Up Harris in 24'.

$5.6 million to Cobb County.

$300,000 to Dougherty County:
"'The Dougherty County Board of Commissioners received the request for the funding of additional absentee ballot drop boxes and accompanying requirements from the Board of Elections and our board voted and approved to fulfill this request to further accommodate the needs of our voters in Albany and Dougherty County amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in our community,' Dougherty County Commission Chairman Chris Cohilas said. 'This was an unbudgeted and unexpected budget allocation, and we are pleased that through this grant the county will be reimbursed for these expenses, which is a win-win for both the citizens and county government.'"

$6 million to Fulton County, Georgia:
The Fulton County, Georgia board of county commissioners voted on September 2 to accept $6 million from CTCL. The county commissioners also added additional taxpayer funding for elections and money the county had received from the federal government for COVID relief to bring the total of additional election support to $14.5 million. This means that the total expenditure of the county's election office in 2020 will be $34 million, which county commissioner LIz Hausmann described as a "staggering amount".

$4.2 million to Gwinnett County.

$557,000 to Macon-Bibb County.

Fox is nothing more than controlled opposition. They're all the same propaganda networks. I retrofitted the control system on NBC's main broadcasting equipment (won't go in to details), but it was located on the roof of the Fox News building in Manhattan where it had been since 1982. Fox News didn't exist at the time but it's parent company did and as far as I can tell they were the tenants since 1980. They're all in cahoots together.
