Yes I'm aware the potential for gridlock has the markets excited. But that's not for certain yet. If Biden passes the 401k reform he had planned I won't even have a 401k available at my job anymore.

Well there's proof you don't pay any attention to politics. He's not talking about market performance. Biden's policy will remove incentives for employer's to contribute to or even have a retirement plan. Unless you work for a fortune 500 company your employer sponsored retirement plan is probably going away. Or at least the employer contribution.

The significance of Trumps loss comes down to the 2 Georgia Senate seats.

If the Ds sweep those there were be a flood of new legislation and court packing will come down to moderate Democrats. The strategy will likely be to wait for a "controversial" / "partisan" / "racist" ruling by the court to provide cover for a few moderate Democrats to vote to pack the court.

If Rs get one of those Senate seats we'll get a nice 2 year stalemate with a conservative SCOTUS checking any radical EOs from Biden/Harris.

Markets are taking into effect that with the Senate staying Republican and the Republican gaining seats in the House then it will be divided government and most of Trump policies won't be overturned and no radical liberal policies will be approved. Now I expect Biden to try and use EO's tongue get by the Republican Senate
