It meant something last night when it shifted huge to Trump and he was starting to roll. That's when the blue cities locked it down and wouldn't count any more.

Where are news sites getting data then?

I'm guessing direct from counties and the state is just slower in aggregating the data.

I believe most news organizations have boots on the ground collecting data. Still doesn't explain though if you look on Michigan's site it says it updates every 10 minutes, but yet somehow can't update a single vote for their most important county?

MI website link shows 3.8MM votes cast and NYT shows 5.2MM. Wayne County is Detroit and has 1.4MM registered voters?

So the Michigan website says there are 3,873,101 total voters with 3,825,256 counted in the presidential election. NYT is showing 5,236,234 votes for president. What's missing from the MI SOS website or where is NYT getting their info? Total registered voters in Michigan 8,127,040. Why does nothing ever add up, so frustrating.

WSJ lists their data sources as:

Source:Associated Press (results); Cook Political Report, Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonzales and Larry Sabato's Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia Center for Politics (aggregate of race ratings)

I assume NYTimes and others use the same folks. I wonder what that data set looks like compared to the MI SOS site? If it's different, where/who is the original data source and where is it getting its information from if its not the Secretary of State?

In 2016 Michigan had 4.8 million votes, so as of now they have surpassed that by 400k if you believe the NYT numbers.

We're talking about Democrats here. They have no ethical boundaries, no moral compass, and almost no media oversight. Of course they're conveniently manufacturing votes when they mysteriously stop counting in the middle of the night only to restart with huge gains for the Democrat.

In Philly they didn't allow Republican poll watchers access initially.

And just because a person is registered Republican doesn't mean that individual is not in on the fraud scheme. Anyone can register Republican.

The optics and look are terrible for the Dems don't get me wrong. But Trump has already asked for a recount in WI which is well within his right.

I'm just holding out hope that the USA can still hold fair and transparent elections.
