Its kind of simple. Rush was always right saying that the national media are "Democrats disguised as Journalists" --- so as their hidden party has gone left over the decades, so have they. So with the Democrats now approaching support of Marxism, so is the Media. There isn't much difference. They are now even more left than the so-called center-left Democrat working voters -- -who they and the party passed on their drift toward totalitarian a while back.

Serious question. Why doesn't Hannity request a sit-down interview with Biden/Harris? Has FOX made any requests? Why do we allow only liberal media to do these interviews? Why doesn't Trump just say sure I will sit down with Leslie Stahl but Biden has to sit down in front of Hannity. That seems like a good way to combat this crap.

I watched both the Trump interview and the Pence interview. Two things stood out:

1) Everything Leslie said was leading to some sort of 'gotcha Trump'.
2) Mike Pence is the perfect disposition for Trump's VP.

One caveat: why did he release the full thing now --- by waiting till it aired, and then dropping it right after in rebuttal, you could show up every "Travyon edit" moment where they would inevitably occur. This way, it takes a little away from that. Or is it better he did it first?

Because people don't have the patience to watch it twice. By releasing first he hurts their ratings while simultaneously discrediting them if they had any credit to begin with.

He should do this on every interview. "If you don't treat me fairly I will expose you."

That whole line of questioning was intended to tie Trump to that plot somehow because he's spoken the truth about the MI governor.

This is what Stahl doesn't see because she thinks she's doing her job: the very way in which they ask the questions is biased and hostile. She thinks she's speaking truth to power and that Presidents should be held accountable and what Trump is basically telling her is that she is a liar because neither she nor the vast majority of the left wing media EVER asked Obama loaded questions, debated him, talked to him like he was a scolded school kid, etc. Nor do they do it with Biden.

Maybe so. This is amazing -- -at the part now, where she is actually arguing that Biden isn't even in a scandal. Just because the MSM is spiking the story, doesn't mean it isn't happening or so. The look of surprise on Trump's face at such a bald-faced cover-up on her part was priceless. Talking about the stupid questions Biden gets about what kind of ice cream gets ---- he just said she is acting like Big Tech. That is "protecting Biden" -- utterly true.

This is an amazing glimpse of how real interviews go, and how much is likely never seen---I wonder how often candidates and officials go back and forth like this, and they just chop it all up. Whether W or Obama or whoever. Never liked editing --- it would be more interesting to see the unscripted one of all these kind of things!

You are right. Its scary to think about how much fodder in some of their back and forth she could have used to make it look like some kind of one-sided thing with no indication of her putting words in his mouth or badgering. Just picked up how she says things to describe how he is talking in a `pre-loaded' manner --- now its easy to see where it would have appeared in the edit.

After seeing this, tend to agree he was right to go ahead. It was too frank an interview where editing wouldn't have hidden the being drawn `offsides moments' . Trump's main error was when he says stuff like "you don't this or that, you disgrace yourself" --- the problem is the you (for the `press') can sound reporter specific. That's one little big of advice would suggest a change. Make clear you mean the `collective "you" ' .

She straight up lies to his face on multiple occasions. She's belligerent, rude, condescending, and interrupts him through the whole thing. He should have ended it well before his staffer told him the time.

1. Release now, and 60 minutes probably can't release the original cut at all - and the original cut would have had a lot of short clips to make Trump look bad. I've little doubt that there are some late nights in the editing room this week trying to recover this. Wouldn't surprise me if the interviewer was going to do more takes where she asked similar questions in a different tone, that's out now.

2. Trump has had an apparent strategy of making it really obvious how biased the media is. This is a story now. If he had released it after, it would have looked more like "but she was actually mean to me, see!" No one would have watched it a second time, it would sound like spur grapes.

3. The media was horrible to Bush, McCain, and Romney but they retained a veneer of civility in person. Candy Crowley was probably the first time the mask really slipped when the man was in the room. They didn't sneer and badger face to face, the really aggressive stuff only came out behind the candidates' backs. That has changed.

4. I don't think Trump is a genius playing 7D chess, but I do think he is good at things like sensing the moment when the interview is shot, but it's so bad that releasing the video is actually a good move. He's got instincts for playing to the crowd.

He did end early actually. His staffer was given more a warning like the 2 minute warning. He clearly says, "No we have had enough, think we are done" words to that effect.

Not only did she do that, she was telling him how to think and complaining about HRC being bad-mouthed by his crowds. They would do that anyway.

This was unfortunate in the sense that CBS was starting to crawl away from such --they should have had someone like Herridge do the interview. Actually do the Tim Russert approach and for once drop the loaded and framed questions. Their little back-and-forth at the end made it clear she sandbagged him a bit.

Just watched this. This "reporter" is no reporter. She's a mind erased, negative, BIASED and annoying liberal loon.
