I went to the grocery story today and bought $200 worth of groceries.

I didn't wear a mask. I might have been the only person in the store without one.

But, I got favorable comments from other shoppers while I was there. I asked one of the workers there where I could find dried peppers for the chili I am making today, and two dudes pushing carts made comments about me making chili.

i live in Maryland and i'd be drug out and strapped to a rail if i tried that.

Same. I carry it,but don't wear it, and most people don't seem to care. If someone says anything, I just ignore or say thanks.

Masks are dumb

my small Texas town, no businesses are messing with it. Even wal mart doesn't give a crap. Or so I thought. I went in to Panda yesterday to get some chow mein, and first of all, ALL the seating is taped off. Looks like a damn crime scene. The lady is literally getting ready to spoon my chow mein into the black container when the manager comes up behind her and yells at me, asking if I have a mask. I say no and she says we can't serve you. I said ok see ya and went next door to whataburger.

I had a lady get all crazy hands like "wtf hands" waving them at me because I took off my mask on the escalator going into the parking garage at the Heights HEB. I could hear her scoffing and she probably had her spit blowback from her mask... I just acted like I didnt see her, it was in the parking garage Jill Biden wannabe, calm down.

I go to six stores.

Corner Store- No masks. The employees for the most part dont wear them either. There was a sign on the door for about a week last summer but someone tore it down.

Liquor Store- No masks. Ever

Taqueria- No masks and plenty of seating

Academy/Wal Mart/Home Depot. Most people wearing them, but I am starting to see more and more people say **** it. They have a corporate enforcement issue, something that I can relate too.

Carrying a mask in your pocket is for sissies. Commit or GTFO.

I honestly don't even have a mask. There is probably one of my wife's in the glove box or on the floor of my truck but good luck getting me to put that filthy rag on my face.

I wish ITL Houston would start caring less..

I haven't worn a mask in weeks except for airplane flights and church.

I love triggering the Corona Bros when I'm in public with no mask. Love the stare downs.

I don't wear one when I'm outside of Dallas because no one cares. However, Rockport is surprisingly mask compliant. Most people there wear one and several restaurants are still take out only. Very, very Republican so surprised by that.

Within Dallas, I've started to ignore the rules. The only place I'm consistently wearing one is Whole Foods because they are Nazi's and will probably call the cops on you if you don't wear one. I've already had two run-ins with them on the 6 ft rule. Lol.

I haven't worn a mask to the grocery store, Academy, Dick's Sporting Goods and several other locations in over two months.

I even voted today without a mask. Although I was asked if I wanted a mask and was even asked if I wanted finger cots, so my fingers would be safe from the dirty machines.

Edit to add: I'm in Tyler, Smith County. Seeing more and more without mask, including women.

Voted today. Everyone inline had a mask except one other person than me, a very elderly lady. When I went in to vote I was asked to wear a face covering. Told the lady that was voter suppression and she let me in right away without trouble.

OP is correct. People need leaders. Step up.

Today is the first day I was asked to mask up after I burned my bra 3 weeks ago. went to Chevy dealer for service. Guy asked if I had a mask and I said no. He asked me to wait outside while he got me one, I told him no thanks. I went to discount tire and paid $150 for 2 new tire sensors and rotation/balance that would have been under warranty. My wife was pretty pissed. DGAF.

3 weeks with no mask in Harris/Galveston counties. Very few people without masks here but I will lead.

I never wear one. I see more people not wearing them as well.

Not only do I not wear a mask, but I kick anyone I see over 75 in the knees as hard as I can. Take that you ****ers.

Yep. I've quit wearing them in the Bryan Kroger and CS HEBs as well as Lowe's, Home Depot and AtHome.

Haven't worn a mask since COVID started

I've been a non-masked individual since day 1 of this bologna.

Recently, I have been issuing the statement when mask nazis approach me, "I have a medical condition". Not one issue after mentioning this.

Yukon, you just gave me the courage to do this. I have been back and forth in my head if I should go for it since I value voting more than just about anything. I am going to early vote, stand in that line confidently without the fear mask, and go in to vote. I am going to issue the line, "I have a medical condition" first and if that does not work, I am going to use, "This is voter suppression". If that does not work, I will leave and come back another day to vote, but will not be wearing the fear mask.

If you are in Texas, legally they can't make you wear one.

No. I just dont care as long as things open up and people are buying and living life.

BTW just get a mask made of the same material as your girls fav panties. The mental associate will reduce any stress you may otherwise have.

Ha that's my H-E-B and I do the same thing as soon as I get on that escalator every time. No issues aside from one hipster couple waiting for their cart recently who dramatically backed up and gave me a "you serious?" look as I was approaching with mask off.
