Yeah, this was my first thought also.
That's what an A&M prof did several years ago when he
jumped from the northside parking garage. Though the details weren't public, they were threatened to be released to the public, and resulted in extortion charges against the guy who said they'd be made public. Maybe the tragedy is that even though the prof told his wife about it, perhaps embarrassment from the hubris of academia was too much to bear.
