Following the launch, New Glenn's first stage attempted a landing on the recovery vessel Jacklyn, also known as Landing Platform Vessel 1, which was positioned 620 km downrange from LC-36. However, controllers lost telemetry from the stage sometime after the entry burn started and Blue Origin confirmed that the booster was lost.

This was the view looking west across the entrance to Galveston bay about 30 mins ago. If the conditions are like this down the coast they are going to get a great show.

And yeah weather down here is beautiful today. The lower clouds have cleared the launch site as they move out South and we are like 80%+ clear. 4pm in Brownsville is forecast to be 93% clear so we are looking really really good.

Gonna leave the office at 2:30 or so and head over to watch. Hopefully see my first catch.

According to the NSF broadcast last night they have several more already in production. It will probably launch again in a matter of months, not years.

Just watched Scott Manley's recap.
For the water suppression did the commentator say BIG water or (as Scott suggested) is it BONG Water? Blue Origin New Glen?
Also, that ship has a wickedly slow acceleration, taking a full 15 seconds to clear the lightning towers!

But they delivered their payload to orbit, so a big congrats to their teams!

The difference between the SpaceX and the BO thrust to weight ratio and the speed of that take off is crazy. I know they're very different and in very different stages of development but wow.
