I'm out of town for work right now so a bit removed but I'm seeing some positive emails suggesting a launch soon (next week)
Multiple sources say SpaceX is likely to receive a Starship/Super Heavy launch license from the FAA today.

There are currently 4 heavy+ rockets around the world sitting on their respective pads. https://t.co/DRKvMZDPlb pic.twitter.com/wCViLrOIpa

Yes. Initial assessment was in March '21 and the list of 75 mitigations posted June '22. I hope the IBD report is off base here...TexAgs91 said:IronRed13 said:

Didn't they complete the review about a year ago with some action items for SpaceX?
I think the broader space news community is dunking on this, saying the author got confused about the assessment that was completed last year around this time.IronRed13 said:

I wonder if this might be a CMS publishing / AI autogen-- type of error. I do not know this for sure, but I *assume* that SpaceX has to receive a license by tomorrow to have a chance at launching on Monday. Not sure that government offices are going to be cranking out a launch license on a weekend.

Why can't the environmentalists just sue now to prevent a launch?TexAgs91 said:
Rumor is that SpaceX intentionally screwed up the paperwork to give them more time to prepare and less time to be sued by environmentalists before a launch Monday morning.

But they're pushing for 7am on the 17th. If Starship is fueled and there's an abort it will take 3 days to recycle
It wouldn't surprise me if it's all coordinated.bthotugigem05 said:TexAgs91 said:I'll let you know after the FAA issues a launch licensePremium said:

I think there's legitimate concern about a lawsuit being filed on environmental grounds so I agree, I think the launch window will open at 7am Monday and they'll do everything they can to launch as early as they can in that window.

Nobody at SpaceX will be answering the phone, signing for certified mail, or opening the gate between the issuance of the FAA authorization and the launch.bthotugigem05 said:TexAgs91 said:I'll let you know after the FAA issues a launch licensePremium said:
