Howdy, Ags! I hope yall are all enjoying this lovely SEC opening day.

I was sent this thread this morning by an Aggie and (unfortunately) read all of these comments and would like to set a few things straight:

- If you don't like me and/or disagree with me, thats your prerogative. We're all allowed opinions and I happen to share mine too.
- I currently host an NFL show with Deion Sanders, a CFB show that has higher rankings than most linear TV shows, am on the #1 CFB podcast in the country, just started an NFL podcast and host a national radio show with Sirius XM. Again, you don't have to like me, but I'm happy with my career has gone so far.
- I know being decent (at best) looking has helped me in my career. However, it's not WHY I have my career. But yes, if people find you attractive (and I see some of yall dont, which is totally fine!), it helps. No kidding. I've never said otherwise.
- I didn't "fail" as a sideline reporter. In fact, I took a leap of faith with the help of Gabe and TexAgs to get OFF the sidelines to go back into radio which landed me at NBC Sports. I wouldn't say that's a failure. But again, that's your prerogative to believe that.
- I'm allowed to post pictures. You're allowed to not enjoy them. But come on, yall. CLOTHED PICTURES OFFEND YALL??
- I do not and will never have an Only Fans. Sorry!
- I have never shared my political beliefs other than standing up for people who I believe my small voice can help.
- I can promise you I know MUCH more behind the scenes about Whitlock and his treatment of women (and his career in general) and I promise you, I am more than capable of debating him on it. His reputation inside this world is not good for a reason. He proved that yesterday.


But MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!! I love A&M with all my heart and will continue to nationally rep the school I grew up dreaming of going to and the diploma that hangs on my wall. It REALLY sucks to see my "home" rip me apart especially in a situation like this.

You can disagree with my opinions all you want, think I'm ugly... whatever. But making fun of me, my career and my life is not what I'd like people to think about when they think of Texas A&M. Nor did I think I would ever see the day where Aggies spend a gameday worried about tearing down one of their own they've never met.

This has turned into a bad look for everyone involved. Whitlock may have had a point, but he went after Nolan WAY too hard for really no good reason. The response has similarly been way too vitriolic and unnecessary.

As seen above, I admit that being attractive helps everyone. It's also not the only reason people - men and women alike - have their jobs.

I'm not ripping you apart. You're a good reporter and personality and I enjoy some of barstool's content. But to assert that your physical attributes haven't played a part of your success is a bit disingenuous.

Ugh, this went a bit off the rails for some reason. As I posted on page 1 I think Barstool/Portnoy made a business decision a couple years ago (when he sold?) to diversify etc. to include more (attractive) females in his shows/podcasts. Also the 'rough n rowdy' trash.

It obviously does pull in viewers, and some of the shows I think are what I'd classify as 'offensive' or 'low grade smut' but whatever. I realize Fox News did the same thing something like 15 years ago and I've watched a lot of that programming. All media exists to draw people to watch/view/click on it. I'm not mad that TYT or MSNBC/CNN exist, either.

I would also like to point out that giant set of brass balls this girl has on her. People go their whole lives without ever taking giant leaps of faith in their career, she did, and it's paying off.

I know we tear people apart for their opinions on here, it's what happens on discussion forums, especially in politics. This thread has served me a giant reminder that attacking someone's ideas is a whole lot different than attacking the person.

I hope Kayce and Whitlock get together and let their ideas fly. It would be good "radio" and it's what we all want, their ideas challenged and not cancelled.

ETA: I hope this segment happens with both of you in the same room and not over the phone or zoom. It will help seeing the human in each other.

I didn't start this thread? Also I'm not a leftist. I don't want you to lose your job and I don't want to end your career. I just want people to stop lying about things we all know are true.

I think taking a step back is important from time to time.

Whitlock has experienced a nice rise in popularity by coming out and being an attack dog against the woke ESPN, mainstream athletes, and media personalities. I think he could be falling victim to a hammer only seeing nails kind of problem. Which is often the problem when people see rapid success by being in a certain frame of mind.

Kayce, perhaps you truly do believe what you said, but I'd bet you saw a chance to raise your profile and be a bit inflammatory in your attack on Whitlock. The goal being to create controversy (which Whitlock has certainly flamed probably more than you have).

In a way both Barstool and Outkick are winning from the coverage as well as Whitlock and Kayce. I honestly would love for the two of you to have a conversation from the perspective that both of you took missteps. But since I dont see that as the best for business choice I doubt that will be the course of action. We need more humility and less bravado and invincibility.

If you were ugly, you'd never have had a career in sports media. Show me an ugly and out of shape woman in the sports industry, and there will be 20 counter examples of women who are thought of as beautiful by the large majority of the population. If you don't believe me, put on 40 lbs,, wear just the minimum amount of makeup and clothes that are plains and see what happens. Most of your frat boy followers will lose their interest despite your character being the same.

Not saying you don't have talent, because you obviously do, but the way your looks were the LSAT/MCAT score of matriculating into sports media. You're right about though about staying power which requires real talent. You just got the chance that 99.9% of people don't get because of your looks. That's fine. It's just hypocritical to hear about women in sports media act like they're ONLY there because of their talent and to say it's sexist for their looks to be pointed out.

Additionally, Whitlocks point of Nolan exemplifying white privilege is right on. You're there too. You enjoy a heaping amount of white privilege. The rest of us are called out to give up what we've worked hard for in the name of atonement for our white privilege. Why are you along with other people in media that have much more benefit from their white privileged exempt from this?

Kind of a silly debate really. 99% of sports audience is men and men like attractive women. So yeah, if you're hot and can keep a train of thought going and know what a first down is, you can probably work in sports as a woman. Thought this was common knowledge?

I totally agree, but I just wish people would stop lying about it that there's not a vested interest in picking pretty young girls over other people.
