Not really. The Orthodox particularly have much to say about the possibilities there. Everything really starts with their "demoting" Jesus, however high the regard. Which is not to say they hold Muhammad quite that way either.

That fits better the period leading to the second lesser known revolt, that really does get Judea put down where it could be called no longer Jewish. The first one had more to do with some pretty bad run of Procurators, disarray in Rome (reign of Nero) and if you can imagine an Antifa tone in charge, the most recalcitrant of the Jewish zealots taking charge, and in a bloody fashion. It was a time of extremes. Which must seem familiar.

They rejected him and as a result Judea was obliterated and Judaism as we know it from the Bible died completely. Talmudic Judaism bears little resemblance to the one from the OT, which isn't surprising given that it was written roughly around AD 300-500.

Also written from a position of diaspora. It was the second revolt that led to Jews actually being almost absent in the ancestral homeland. Hadrian even begins the displacement of the Temple that in a way the Muslims will end up seeking to effect. (though they may have missed the exact placement. Archaeology can fool the hasty that way.)

I try to be a pretty strong Catholic. I think God has a great sense of humor. This is a bit off putting. Not my type of humor--had he made fun of Mel or made it a mel post, that's all in good fun but this is a bit much without explaining the context.

Frankly I am more concerned at the remark that he called Jesus a common criminal -- and this supposed Rogan interview. That would show a true malice, rather than an off-color joke. Which would just prove your point that this was off-putting and meant that way.

I think we tend to forget that many of the folks (jews) yelling "crucify him" in court became the first Christians. So... the blanket accusations are dumb based on my 12 years of Catholic schooling and many years after reading historical and theological accounts.

Christianity is older than Judaism.

70 AD, when Titus utterly decimated the Temple (exactly as Christ predicted), is the 2nd most consequential year in world religious history, after 33 AD.

The only unifying definition of the very large and diverse term "Jewish" is that the Nazarene Messianic claim is "wrong."

After 70:

Temple - body
Manna - Eucharist
Sacrifice - Mass
Adam - Christ (literally crucified over his grave, Adam the "first man" and founder of Jerusalem = first priest of the "Promise")
Priests - Apostolic priesthood
Ark - St. Mary
Flood - Baptism
