I practice MMA and BJJ. I'm not good, but I know that there are few things as dangerous as a blue belt or higher BJJ practitioner on the ground. I would point a few things out. Fighters fight for the most part like other fighters. This causes some elements of "dance" or "flow" in a fight that a BJJ practiced expects. Lebron wouldn't play that dance/flow out of ignorance of the style. Lebron is a finely tuned athlete and he's absolutely massive and strong. It would be a good fight imho.

I don't think so. I teach and practice MA myself, some BJJ with the adults. I've had athletes come in before, a NCAA football player once. They are strong and athletic but a lot of that is neutralized up close. And they will be fighting with someone that understands leverage and weakpoints of joints. MMA fighting is not about catching a ball and running away from pursuers.

Jesus - Colby's at is just this, an ACT. JRE talks about it all the time. It's a WWE-style schtick after the UFC almost cut him. That people are so triggered by this is hysterical.

100% this, BJJ is easily the best "true" martial art where a much smaller opponent can F you up. The "dance/flow" might buy you some time in a boxing match, but not against a double-leg takedown after being leg kicked a dozen times.

I'm about 17 years into this stuff. Colby is a former AA Wrestler with supernatural cardio and very good boxing. He's no slouch as an athlete. He'd double-leg that 6-8 mofo within 10 seconds and have Lebron on his ass. Once you are on your ass, that size/strength means absolute shat. Colby would wrestle-**** and toy with him, and as you allude to, without significant BJJ experience Lebron wouldn't know WTF to do other than take it and wait for Colby to get bored and choke him out.

Colby 32, 5'11" 170lbs.
Lebron 35, 6'8", 250lbs

Might be worth watching.
Lebron will not have to jump high to put a knee in this guys gut.
A few well done kicks to the leg might bring down King James like a tree.

I'm a pretty fair golfer, as far as weekend amateurs go. But I DO NOT gamble with people who MAKE THEIR LIVING on the golf course. That's an entirely different world.

And I sure as hell don't get into fist fights with men who make their living prize fighting at the highest level. I give Lebron no chance in that scenario. Would pay good $$ to see it, though.

If that Delonte West rumor is legit and the guy really did own Lebron's mom then........ WOW! I can see all of LJ's "Homies" just shaking their heads doing that wild hand to the mouth step back OHHHHH cultural thing that is done when an In Your Face moment happens. Covington definitely hit below the belt with that and all Lebron has to defend his mama's honor was that effort?????

Lol this is gonna be good if press keeps it goin. My guess is the press is gonna get called racist if they do keep this fued alive and ask LeBron to respond.
Really sad story with Delonte. Great basketball player who was on some really good teams and made a lot of money who is legitimately a street addict now.
Who also absolutely had sex with lebron's mom...

Lebron is a spineless coward. He can't stand up to anyone. He won't even stand up to a foreign country committing genocide and actually oppressing people. He's just a tall guy that can throw a ball at a net really well.

Every time Lebron opens his mouth, he looks more and more like an awful person.

There's a difference there though. Fighters will get as close to weigh in max as they can, but usually they're over it. It's a lot easier to lose weight than gain it. I don't think it's a 30lb difference though.

The more I see and hear LeBron James the more impressed I am. He grew up with no advantages except height, athleticism, basketball skills, and private schooling. For him to have come so far in life is really a marvel.

That's just the weight that he has to be at weigh in time the day before the fight. Most guys in the 170 pound division are 180+ on fight night and 190-210 when not actively training for a fight.

Colby should offer a "home-and-home."

Losing 250-0 would be worth it to break James' orbital socket and ribs in a 15 second fight.

What was he going to do with Lebron?
Play checkers?
His unsanctioned vs Lebron fight weight for that would be higher than his normal.

WWE style would be fun too.

Lets do the MMA fight first with 15 minute one-on-one game the same week. The commie punk might not be able to see by the time the scheduled b-ball game came up.

Try to avoid fighting but never fight anyone who has devoted their life to the study and act of knocking people out and/or choking someone to death.

Its really that simple.
