Athletes are being advised by their Corporate sponsors on how to respond. Get a few whiskey drinks into him at the clubhouse bar and I bet privately he says entirely different things. Corporations have done their research and believe the best course is to swallow all of the BLM/PC bull**** and parrot it out because the rest of the country is too scared or lazy to do anything other than shrug their shoulders and frown. Millions of dollars are at stake so the athletes are all going to protect that over everything else.

Change what? See the resisting arrest thread for some good points some are posting.

What is actually wrong in the moment of arrest and aftermath process---? there is no room for resisting arrest to really be given too much slack.

Here's an idea. How about we spend less energy demonizing the police force which largely protects blacks from other blacks and instead teach people to respect the authority of cops which would actually save the lives of those who act like an idiot when being questioned or arrested.

Quit blaming the racist white boogeyman for political purposes and actually address the real issues facing the black community. I'm sure most people are on board with that.

That would require self-accountability within the black community which either (a) the black community doesn't want to do, or (b) liberals don't think the black community is capable of.

I find it interesting that the conservative position is one that assumes the black community is capable. The other side doesn't seem to think they are. Kind of an insulting and sad position to take if you ask me.

The change that needs to happen is a man needs to be a man and take care of his family. The statistics back up that a kid growing up without a dad is devastating on a kid. I dont know the statistics off the top of my head but these kids are far more likely to drop out of school, get in trouble with the law and go to jail. It isnt racial.

My cousins grew up without their dads and they have been in and out of jail. It keeps on this cycle until someone in their line breaks that. If they want to promote change, then, fix the home. Tell men that they need to be men. That isnt going out and getting with every woman. That means making a commitment to do the right thing and if you have kids, then do whatever you can to be in their lives and love them.

But it's so much easier to blame someone else.
