I have no issue with people who's opinions are different than mine. I do have a problem with people like Alvard/Pease who twist or omit words into something they are not.

For example, Alvard was placing "Negro Killer" slips of paper all around campus in reference to Sully. He makes it sound like THAT was Sully's nickname like we know Nolan Ryan to be the "Alvin Express."

That is false. It was not and that didn't even occur in Texas.

I won't get into the blatant disregard for all the good people like Sully did for so many Texans, regardless of color.

There are some on the Aggieland Board who are just as bad. Smug and condescending, they can't believe they're living in BCS with us rubes.

I guarantee that the people depicted in that picture are nicer, kinder, more well grounded, have more common sense, and would be much more fun to hang out with than a hateful, conceited, judgmental, condescending, elitist, racist academic with no real life skills.

All posting that picture does is show what an insufferable ***** he is and does nothing to anyone else. I think I had him for some anthropology class that check a couple of the cultural boxes many years ago when they rolled that out. I remember him being really upset that he wasn't on the most liberal professor list of the young republics or consecutive whichever group put that list out at the time. I am sure he is on it now. I remember him going on a rant how his kids were in CSISD at the time and brought home Easter eggs and were asking what they were. I just felt bad for his kids and sad that he hated religion that much to not tell his kids what Easter eggs are.

This going to sound very arrogant but the level of outside of the box thinking I see a lot of our students doing - our professors seem to be failing. He wants to spout off - fine spout off, but make sure you do your job and we'll do ours.

Agreed.I remember taking classes from Barbara Headrick in poli sci, and she and I used to spar in her classroom. She was a leftist, but she never held it against me or any other students, as far as I know. Unfortunately, the era of being able to disagree amicably is passing by quickly.
