And I never said the verse was irrelevant. The original Greek is aion, which can be translated of an age or also eternity. I was brought up hellfire and brimstone and it is very difficult to try to read Scripture without that bias as it is for most Western Christians. I just always try to read Scripture through the knowledge that God was revealed as Christ and also use the Eastern Orthodox commentaries.The Debt said:

Saying "this verse is irrelevant because the destruction was finite and the physical locations arent eternally on fire" is weak hermeneutics.
And that is not a criticism of your interpretation of Scripture.
