I do think there is a slight chance there will be a few cases that will make their way to SCOTUS regarding some of the measures imposed by governors during the covid in the next years. To do that, however, SCOTUS will have to use the
Roe v. Wade theory of mootness being waived because it would be a recurring question.
IOW, because the chances of future pandemics exists, they can hear cases and decide what are and are not acceptable measures under the Constitution.
But the opposite is also true, SCOTUS can just as easily decide to punt on the basis of the matter being moot.
