I just got home from the hospital after spending 5 days in ICU for an acute subdural hematoma. I bumped my head which caused severe brain damage. The doctors said it was the worst case they'd ever seen. I will have to go into detail at another time about specifics, but the surgeons were the best, as was the entire nursing staff. I am having trouble typing this, and will have trouble in the near future working on my computer. I will probably be gone for oover a month, but please know I will get thru this. I will miss yo0u all and I will miss posting memes and gifs for your entertainment. I am having memory problems as well as some disorientation. My brain is showing things with my eyes closed that I have never seen before. I have always looked forward to your posts, knowing that a smile would be forthcoming, if only for a little while. I look forward to the day when you are able to start posting your memes again. As someone who has endured a brain injury, I empathize with what you are going through, and what you will go through during your recovery. Hang in there Rocky - I can tell you as someone who has been around neurological trauma patients that there is great hope for your continued improvement and recovery.

Take it slow and easy. Many times we are amazed by the speed and extent of recovery people experience. Other times it can be trying and take a little longer. Here's to you stacking up in the first group.

We'll be ready to welcome you back with open arms when you're ready. You will not be forgotten here.
