Well this is it folks. The dems have gone all in and blown their wad on this impeachment BS. They have given their all, but they have nothing left. Now it's our turn. I'm looking forward to exploding their heads starting with the Senate impeachment hearing, then Durham indictments then Trump's landslide victory and we retake the House. Oh but that's not all. After that... It's going to happen sooner or later. Trump will appoint RGB's replacement.
GOP needs to mic drop a statement like below focusing on the most important theme....a crazed effort to impeach PRIOR to the Ukraine call.
Why is now the only time Dems are "profoundly sad" about pursuing impeachment? They weren't "profoundly sad" when the impeachment strategy was first announced before Trump was inaugurated. When Nancy Pelosi spoke about pursuing impeachment for 2-3 years, she never mentioned anything about being "profoundly sad" at any point during that period. Dem leaders never expressed their "profound sadness" about running on impeachment durring midterms or for committee chairman seats. No "profound sadness" when the Dem leadership talked about impeaching Trump as a means to prevent re-election or that impeachment can happen an unlimited number of times. So after years of determined impeachment efforts prior to the Ukraine phone call, why was there "profound sadness" ONLY when finally introducing and voting on articles of impeachment?

Yup. It's pretty much like a local police force charging you with obstruction of justice because you refused to answer questions and asked for a lawyer when they started questioning you on fabricated charge.
Nancy Pelosi gave a pledge of allegiance themed speech because her nonsense arguement could only be believed by people with a 3rd grade reading level.
Just imagine the collective groan by this nation when the Dems start their next impeachment hearings once the Senate throws this current sham in the garbage.

The fact that they are constantly bringing up the Constitution, that they are patriots, saying the pledge, pretending to be solemn, etc is all the proof you need that they have no confidence in their sham impeachment. They are executing an acting job, not an impeachment proceeding. If the facts and history were truly on their side, they really wouldn't have to drape themselves in the flag at this point.
I haven't heard the Dems say "bribery" or "extortion" very much today. I recall at the very beginning of today's session a reminder of the rules for decorum when describing President Trump, so I guess it may be deemed to be against the rules since no crimes are actually specified in the articles themselves.4stringAg said:

About 4 hours or so, I think. Collins asks every so often how much time each side has left. Last I heard it was about 2 hours each.chevy con queso said:

For a group who tends to treat it as an afterthought, the Constitution has suddenly become something that HAS to be defended.
If you guys haven't noticed the stock markets are hanging just below all-time highs. My bet is that once the vote has been taken the markets are going to pop through in a monetary middle-finger to the House and Dems.
