Giuliani is already under investigation, and based on the way Nunes talked about Parnas, I don't think anybody in Washington is going to spend much time trying to save Giuliani.
He had/has a lot of hands in the Ukraine jar. Doing an investigation as a personal lawyer, working in some capacity as a state department official, personal business stuff and then whatever he was doing politically with Parnas and Fruman. You start mixing those roles up, and you're gonna find yourself in trouble quick.
Nah...Rudy likely didn't do anything wrong...he will need to be proven of committing a crime for him to go down, and frankly, Rudy ain't that dumb...
The SDNY has been gunning for Trump and anyone around him since day one.

It is payback for Trump firing Preet Bharara, who is likely still running the SDNY through his people who remain there, one of which is James Comey's daughter.

The bigger story from the IG and then the Dunham reports is where the news will turn...

Rudy is going to quickly become yesterday's news...

The former longtime GOP Senator presumably means well, but he's wasting his breath. The GOP's patrician class -- the wealthy, privileged, elitist Old Guard Republicans like Gorton -- ruled the GOP from the 1890's thru the 2010's and selected the party's Presidential nominees. Until Trump arrived and took control by winning populist support of the GOP's plebeian class. In Trump's party, the Old Guard has very little power and almost zero influence. Their only option is to bide their time until Trump is no longer in power.

Don't bet on it. The DOJ IG report very likely isn't going to turn up anything substantial. Odds are high it will recommend a few procedural changes & report findings of a few minor infractions.

There's even less chance Durham finds anything,

umm the first release regarding the FBI's treatment of its sources says otherwise.

Former Senator Gorton? Now a partner at K&L Gates, who is representing George Kent (who gave impeachment testimony last week). Two other partners who worked for the Obama White House including one who served as associate counsel to Obama.

Get that partisan trash out of here.

They need to ask him under oath with documentation about why the rules for whistleblowers was changed.

The date of the change of the rules might prove significant too, it usually does.

I'm really glad their doing this, but several questions come to mind.

1. Does the Senate have the same rules as the house? If so, then they can read the docs and call folks to testify all they want, but won't get the pleasure of making them answer the questions, at least honestly.

2. Atkinson has been VERY subtle in his actions, but see above regarding his answers. I'm pretty sure he's bent.

3. Why would ICIG turn over the information? Look how long it took the Legislature to get information from
14 to '18 when we controlled the House. In fact, we never did get the information until Barr starting telling (I believe) Chris Wray to get off his ass and deliver information.

I'm not trying to be negative, but the Left always seems to have found ways to clutter up the process, and no one seems to be able to change it, except for the Durhams of the world.

Good point. If Parnas is called by the HSIC to testify, one of the people he'll testify about is Nunes.

You've been saying that for 3 years. Meanwhile Trump's pals and associates Paul Manafort, Mike Flynn, Rick Gates, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Lev Parnas, and Igor Fruman are either in jail or soon will be.

I hope this report is incorrect. But if it's true the POTUS is this paranoid, would anyone be surprised? After all, he is a hardcore believer in RW conspiracy theories.

I don't really blame him when it seems like most of the career employees are leaking and going after him non-stop.

He says as he roots for everyone around Trump to do everything in their power to destroy him.

Paul manafort was charged with crimes prior to his time with Trump.

Mike Flynn - currently fighting charges due to potential rights being violated during the investigation

Michael Cohen tried to get out of his sentence by turning on Trump, but that didn't work.

Stone is still in trial, so I guess you are a mind reader or something.

So you have... 2 guys in jail, one for a crime he committed a while back and another who tried to have his sentence reduced, but failing to do so, to "get Trump."

Nice try. Please play again!

That's not paranoia. All the leaks would have justified it. I would have just entirely rebooted the staff---not a one from between 2008-2017 especially.

-- Be better. Your boy Roger Stone was convicted on all 7 charges.

-- Manafort's convictions included crimes he committed in 2016.

Only a handful of times in 240+ yrs of US history have so many associates of a U.S. President been indicted, tried, and found guilty of crimes. Yet this is only year 3 of the Trump Presidency. Trump himself will likely face indictment in the illegal payoffs to Stormy Daniels after he is out of office.

Process crimes and nothing Manafort did had anything to do with Trump.

Stone got in trouble for more process crimes and being a loud mouth.

Try again Mr. Talking Point.

Sorry about Stone's convictions, I will give you that one. Charged with essentially lying to Congress. I would be very careful about throwing rocks at glass homes.

I can't seem to find the section or part in Manafort's crimes that ties them to Trump. Nor could Mueller. So again, nothing.

So you are saying since Trump knows guilty people, he himself must be guilty. Don't look too far in history at the the most famous democratic family. Ted essentially killed a girl and the Kennedy family had enough ties to mafia-sequel people that theories that JFK was killed by them were at least floated around.

Please. Do better.

Edit: How is a pay-off illegal? Companies and people leaving companies have NDAs all of the time. Why was this one so bad?

They can make him appear, but he is still subject to Trumps' executive privilege claims regarding certain information and communications and so there's some things he wouldn't be able to talk about unless he is released to do so.

Also, any testimony would be taken with White House counsel present or the subpoena would not be legal (DOJ interpretation).

Meh. Take it to DC Circuit Court first. The legislative schedule on impeachment is not favorable for the Dems.

Well I'm slow here. Just had an epiphany that the "absolute immunity" claim was a dilatory tactic to kick this down the road for awhile. Thought it was a weird argument but as a legal strategy, effective.

Everyone knows that. Meanwhile it's still fun to sit back & watch Barr and Trump get kicked in the head by another judge who has read the Constitution.
