You have to prove that investigating a former VP for corruption is solely intended to sway an election and you know, not for the benefit of the US and Ukraine to expose high level corruption within our governments. Vindman was refusing to say which of the 17 intelligence agencies the person that he spoke to about the July 25th call and Schiff interrupted because of "muh whistle blower." Vindman refused to answer as coached by Schiff. Nunes objected and asked Vindman's lawyer if he was asserting the 5th. His lawyer about crapped his pants and stuttered that he was directing his client to follow the chair's instruction not to answer.

So there was no direct assertion of the 5th by Vindman nor his counsel on his behalf.

The president does more than national security. He also is head of law enforcement.
If the president wants to investigate a U.S. crime committed by a U.S. citizen, it has nothing to do with national security, but is still within the responsibilities of the president.

All 17 should be abolished and some new streamlined ones set up. No way that is effective.
