Isn't he the only one that has made claims like this? I know that's the lib/media assumption and spin, but I don't think anyone has testified to this. Seems like it's his word against 10 others that told a completely different story. I have to ask, why?
Fiona hill, top National Security Council advisor on Russian and Ukrainian relations under John Bolton, testified that Giuliani and EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland circumvented the NSC and State dept and pursued a shadow policy in Ukraine on behalf of Trump. Hill said Bolton sounded alarms about Giuliani's involvement in Ukrainian relations, calling him a "hand grenade."
Gordon Sondland, a top Trump donor who became U.S. ambassador to the European Union, said in his opening statement,
Quote:
But I did not understand, until much later, that Mr. Giuliani's agenda included an effort to prompt the Ukrainians to investigate Vice President Biden or his son or to involve Ukrainians, directly or indirectly, in the President's 2020 reelection campaign.
George Kent, deputy assistant secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, testified that he warned colleagues that Giuliani and his associates were propagating a "fake news driven smear" against Biden and Yovanovitch over Ukraine. Kent also voiced his concerns that he was being pushed out of Ukraine policy in favor of a shadow policy team led by Giuliani.
