I totally disagree with one of the narratives the left is now throwing out there. They're throwing several but one of them is that this will make it harder for real crime victims to report it. I necessarily don't believe so, in fact I believe it might be the opposite. What it IS saying is Don't report a crime if you faked it. This crime was investigated, as it should've been, and as it has turned out it was a hoax. If you're really a victim and you report it, don't lie.
If the message that people are taking is well no one will believe me if I report it then that's totally ****ed up. If you've really been attacked and people want to think you're faking it an investigation would prove that wrong.
The left is taking several angles so far. First the harder for people to report it, second, he must have mental illness and or things must be awfully bad to him for him to feel like he had to do this and three, well yes he did it but it's trumps America and it's horrible so I can't really blame him but he screwed up.
Only a very small handful of them are angry and want to see justice, most kind a want this just to go away because in their minds this is happening constantly anyway because you know they're white supremacist around every corner now. And Trump bad.

I would just like the media to actually "do their job" and investigate before reporting. But with the race now to just be first instead of right in most cases, I'm not going to hold my breath.

My theory in all of this is that precious Jussie has never experienced any real racism in his life. When he wrote the letter and devised this noose plot, he had no idea just how ludicrous it really was. It's like in 40 Year Old Virgin, when Steve Carell describes boobs as bags of sand. It reveals that he has no idea what he is talking about, and has never experienced anything of the sort.
It'd be more believable if he said a straight white guy gave him a funny look once. But Jussie hasn't even encountered that.
