Don't forget that it was made to a mil-spec with mil-spec parts which is good to at least triple the price.

If it costs them $32 to make then it would retail for ~$100 and then triple again for the mil-spec and it's a $300 part if mass produced. But for a run of only 149 clutches their price is in the ballpark, especially when you consider that they submitted the lowest bid or they wouldn't have sold any of them to the DoD.

Let's not forget that AOC wants everyone to receive $15/hr minimum wage. I don't know how much of that cost is material vs. labor but everybody who has touch time on the part has to be paid something. That's not just the machinist but to QC and testers.

Non-vehicular clutch disks would require a different type of testing but consider that the ceramic plates for body armor undergo random sample acceptance testing that involves selecting random articles a ND shooting them and then examining the damage under rigidly enforced conditions. That's not inexpensive. It includes not only the cost of materials but paying a government employee to select the random samples.

This child is something else.

Pointing out the failures of all government for something simple like purchasing supplies and using it as a platform to have the government take over things like higher education financing, all Heath are and daycare.

what am i supposed to be seeing here? Those are different plaques. The top plaque has flag mounts to the right. The bottom image has a flag mounted to the left. I don't think she added a US flag, they are photos of different doors.

EDIT: perhaps the bottom image is from the left side of the door? that would mean the the US Flag is to it's own right, as it should be. NY and trans flag are on the left. I really don't GAF if the trans flag is higher than the NY flag. But is it higher than Old Glory?
