So does the home charging station itself cost $10,000 and then you pay for the electricity on top of that?Aggie12B said:

Or is that a rough monthly estimate for all of it.
And how much extra does your electric bill get?aggiejayrod said:annie88 said:So does the home charging station itself cost $10,000 and then you pay for the electricity on top of that?Aggie12B said:

Really they're less than a grand unless you need to upgrade your whole electrical system. That can get pricy.

It depends…3-4 miles per kwh on average. So that times ~10 cents per kwh. I've driven mine 2k miles in 6 months so that's what? $100/month?

interesting math--so my Ford F150 V8 Gas Powered Crew Cab Pickup uses 18mpg. At $3.35/gallon, If I drive it 333 miles/month (2,000 miles / 6 months), it would cost me $62.04/month to drive my Truck. It would be $40/month cheaper to drive the truck.

I think this is a pretty good photo of Biden:annie88 said:
They always use the worst photos of him. It is absolutely deliberate.
Once again, he's right.
Meanwhile, they fall over themselves trying to get good photos of Biden, but those are hard to come by these days due to how bad Biden looks. Dementia.

Yeah...it's about $8/mo. I'm not a huge EV proponent but your numbers just sounded WAY too high for the cost of driving it...aggiejayrod said:Ag with kids said:Well...except his math is off by 2 orders of magnitude...ravingfans said:aggiejayrod said:annie88 said:And how much extra does your electric bill get?aggiejayrod said:annie88 said:So does the home charging station itself cost $10,000 and then you pay for the electricity on top of that?Aggie12B said:

I multiplied instead of divided. But that makes it close to $10/month? This is why the paralegal bills my hours.
I'm easily $100/month on my wifes minivan in gas but she drives a lot more than i do
