This one will catch some of you off guard. Does anyone besides Hawg remember when Mayor Tom Bradley was mayor of LA? He was from Calvert, Texas. Born there on Dec. 29th, 1917
My dad got thrown in jail in Calvert in 1955. He ran a red light (the only one) and got pulled over. When the cop found out my dad was from Dallas, he asked my dad "don't they have red lights in Dallas"? My dad replied "Yeah, more than one".
and it was off to the Calvert hoosegow for the night.
