Understood. The answer I was hoping for was, if course he could be sued in civil court.

Quote:

If you want to hear a great synopsis of the fraud that was the Russia Hoax -- which pretty much crippled the entirety of the Trump Admin by design -- Glenn goes over all the details that have been unearthed.

It began as a pre-emptive strike against the possibility of a Trump Admin. by the Nat. Sec. and Defense Establishment from the Bush and Obama Administrations because it was clear Trump was going to head down a different path. The Clinton Campaign was supported by the CIA and former Nat. Sec. officials in seeding disinformation into the press -- which accepted it willingly and enthusiastically because of the NY-DC corridor's hatred for Trump as well as their fear of what he might do.

The central point in my mind has always been that it was IRRELEVANT if Trump wanted closer ties to Putin or if Trump wanted to distance our connection to NATO and treat China as the greatest national security threat to US economic and military hegemony.

If the US electorate chose Trump to be POTUS, then it was the constitutional duty of the Beltway bureaucracy to carry out those policies or resign if they could not. There was not an option to oppose them from within.

It was 100% UNCONSTITUTIONAL for Comey and the FBI to initiate any investigation based on a claim of Russian influence after Trump won.

Once Trump was POTUS, what he wanted to do over-rode any "concerns" anyone in the FBI or CIA might have had about his policy preferences.

THAT was a soft coup.

It's unbelievable to anyone who wasn't paying by attention at the time. I'm sure there are idiots on this board who would still argue that the FBI/DOJ/CIA did nothing wrong and that this is all a conspiracy theory.

Worse, there are people who know this is all true but who will either still vote Biden or who won't vote for Trump because they don't like him.

This thread got drug back into the daylight a few weeks ago, and I've been going through it page by page which has to be the longest in this platform, and this is an amazing read, a lot of deep dives into various rabbit holes and some serious research. This is Tom Clancy level stuff.
Are the sources in the old pages still available? I would have expected many of them would have been memory holed by now.
A lot of them so far, quite a few tweets missing because the users were banned years ago, but for the most part it's mostly there. The fact that people here screen shot some of the tweets helped out some and others quoted them so it helps fill in the few holes but there's a TON of research and work here, I mean this thing dates back six years

A patient writer could make a book just from this thread.

This thread just got too large and moved too fast for me to keep up.

It's not our fault that the FBI, NSA and Team Mueller not only tipped their hand but were pretty incompetent for such vaunted lawyers and agents.

I still don't think it's over.

Note of course the attempt, this week, to require any president next year (hint, hint) to continue to fund the Ukraine proxy war against Russia.

Keep in mind that in certain quarters, 'Russia, Russia, Russia' is considered to have been largely successful in limiting the Trump administration V1.0. The forces behind this effort are alive and well, perhaps stronger than ever.

After Public and Racket had been told that President Barack Obama's CIA Director, John Brennan, had identified 26 Trump associates for the Five Eyes to target, a source confirmed that the IC had "identified [them] as people to 'bump,' or make contact with or manipulate. They were targets of our own IC and law enforcement targets for collection and misinformation."
Flynn, Carter Page, Papadopoulos for starters. Then Kushner and Don, Jr. with the meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya in Trump Tower. Those are the "bumps" to which they refer.

So who else? Manafort? Likely.

Yes. And lest we forget, as John Solomon long ago reported before he left fake news even, this was all known as fake before it was used against the Trump administration:

Quote:

Steele eventually was fired by the FBI for leaking to the press in violation of his source agreement with the bureau and lying about it. But that did not happen until Nov. 1, 2016 after the FISA warrant was secured. And, even then, the court wasn't notified until a few months later, well after Election Day.

Steele's admission of media contacts on Oct. 11, 2016, and the mere existence of his meeting at the State Department likewise violated his confidentiality agreement with the bureau and clearly were discoverable well before the FISA warrant was secured Oct. 21, 2016.

If the State Department and Ohr could figure out that Steele was a partisan, paid by a political client and facing an Election Day deadline to broadcast raw intelligence that in some cases probably was false, the FBI should have done the same before it ever envisioned taking his evidence to a FISA court.
Nellie Ohr, of course, was just a curious russian speaking new ham radio enthusiast.

Quote:

Nellie Ohr is the "dossier" spying scandal's woman in the middle.

To one side of Ohr, there is the Fusion GPS team, including fellow contractor Christopher Steele. To the other, there is husband Bruce Ohr, who, until his "dossier"-related demotion, was No. 4 man at the Department of Justice, and a key contact there for Steele.

As central as Nellie Ohr's placement is, her role in the creation of the "dossier" remains undefined. For example, the House Intelligence Committee memo on related matters vaguely tells us that Nellie Ohr was "employed by Fusion GPS to assist in the cultivation of opposition research on Trump"; the memo adds that Bruce Ohr "later provided the FBI with all of his wife's opposition research." Senator Lindsey Graham more sensationally told Fox News that Nellie Ohr "did the research for Mr. Steele," but details remain scarce.

Still, relevant facts have emerged. These include Nellie Ohr's study in the USSR in 1989; her fluency in Russian and Ph.D. in Russian history in 1990; a 2010 CIA affiliation, which practically makes her former MI6 agent Steele's "opposite number"; and the extremely curious detail, harkening back to earlier eras of spycraft, that on May 23, 2016, around the time she came on board Fusion GPS, Nellie Ohr applied for a ham radio operator's license.

Notably, the "dossier" men in her life have tried to shield Ohr from public scrutiny, even at professional risk. Her husband, as the Daily Caller News Foundation reports, failed to disclose his wife's employment with Fusion GPS and seek the appropriate conflict-of-interest waiver, which may have been an important factor in his demotion from associate deputy attorney general late last year.
Her actions to date have never been explained (honestly, at least). I don't think her husband has even left his 'service' in the FBI.

Hawg, I don't doubt that Haspel is responsible because she was in charge, but she's been with the agency for a thousand years, meaning she couldn't have been a plant from the Dems like nearly everyone else was.

She's either an old commie, like nearly everyone else in DC, or she saw "the light" so to speak, or she's being blackmailed like so many others up there.

I don't know when she was hired at the agency, but she's been there, at least, 20 years. However, it could just be another one of Trump's ****ty hires. If she was a recommendation from Brennan, I could see that. I have no idea who Burns is but circumstances dictate he's crooked as hell due to who appointed him.

Y'all are going to want to listen to this. It doesn't take the entire 1404 pages of this thread into account, but it does take several hundred into a one hour show. Not to mention the fact that Bongino is a detective at heart, since that's what most SS guys are, and were.

It's pretty damned good and will likely present a couple of questions which I look forward to.
